The colours actually worked really really well for me. The combination and layering effect made it look like a dozen different colours instead of the five I actually used. It was my first "crafty" type project and I'm really happy with the way it turned out.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go on an overnight drunk, and in 10 days I'm going to set out to find the shark that ate my friend and destroy it. Anyone who wants to tag along is more than welcome.
KK - when i checked in the other room where the TU's are - this is what I found.
Mi-ow-Mi - Yellow, Purple, with a little green and whiskers. If its too much, the 'extras' are on discreet pieces of tulle and can be removed. (I see a need to trim again a tad. )
KK - shipped express - it will be to you on friday. I Crammed that baby into an express envelope so get ready for a tulle explosion. (Release Mi-ow-mi as soon as you can and let her fall back out after that scrunching.)
I'll run straight to the post office as soon as I'm off work Friday. I'll post a pic with Mi-ow-mi as soon as I can!

I'm obsessed with learning from ya'll. There are some crazy genious Tu'ers on here!!

the el wire will be added Fri am at roo - it's always good to have a crafts project while killing time in the day... tested all the kits that arrived yesterday.
my qsaroo giveaway is going to be the most badass glowing rings ever - of course, i didnt know they were qsaroo, but the whole point was to give them away to make someone a bit brighter in the evenings.

Totally realized that I have NO idea what I am wearing with my tu!! And no time to shop. Monday night while laundrying and repacking, I will have to find... SOMETHING that will look good!
I am also super worried about the transport of my tu to Roo. There are three of us and we did have access to a van... that recently died (SO glad we didn't take it and have it die in VA somewhere). So now we are taking an outback (with a roof storage thing). I just know that my tu will get jammed somewhere :/ There was only two of us last year in a rented Laredo and we STILL managed to get it packed to the roof!!

A few pages back Dr. Mayo explained how she wrastles the Tu's into the mailing boxes to prevent as much wrinkling as possible. That might help B.

^you are quite impressive! and this comes from someone who has seen a wide variety of spewing. As well, I am with you on the EL wire Rootu. That will be very easy to do and will look cool.
Used tons of colors and they all kept getting muted, so I kept going back and looking at Mayo's amazing creations. She doubles up a lot , and it makes a huge difference. All Tu's are beautiful.. however that lady is the queen of teaching the Tu army!!
I am making one more and going to try a different method of doubling up colors. We shall see how it goes.
Geepers Mayo... you didn't tell me trying to get Tu's into a box is like trying to cage a wild animal!!
HAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! I KNOW RIGHT!!!!
So here's how I do it - I use shoeboxes bc they're free and people are ready and willing to get them out of their houses (neighbors, coworkers, etc). I take the waist band and roll it into itself. At this point in the process I ALWAYS second guess this step..... THEN I hold that roll with one hand and kind of hug/twirl the rest of the tulle into my chest (meeeeow) and then use both hands to twirl it into the box. I like my Tus puffy and not (too) wrinkly, so this way the tulle stays flat-ish. Then as Im holding the twirled in Tu in the box with one hand, I SLAM the top down with the other and remove my hand at the same time! Then immediately tape the top down.
It is exactly like trying to crate a cat.

Fawn, I am just so flattered that you love my crafting so much, and don't mind saying so on this thread! Makes a girl feel good about her skillz. ;D Also, the bride and groom Tus - I really really really wanted to make them for Daniroo and Tremendousbutton, but I figured that Dani would already have Tus made for them, so I let it go.... but next year - it is on like Donkey Kong. We need to collaborate on that!!!
