Good idea, it wasnt so much the grass height. The ticks was the bad part, we had bug spray but they were still all over us. And it was just our spot, none of our neighbors had probelms with them.
Just wanted to let yall know, they still haven't started anything yet. They are just finishing up the bush-hogging, and its been raining all day today and yesterday. Once something worth seeing starts showing up out there, I will start the set up pics thread.

Thanks for the update...it's useless to have pictures up on here if there's nothing interesting to look at.

It's pretty amazing that they can get everything (after the ground clearing) set up in 3 weeks. I guess after doing it for 10 years in the same location they know what they're doing. This week will have to be the start of the more visible setup work.

So in other words, the farm basically looks like this, right?
It's fun to zoom down to the arch on Google Maps, but I can't wait to see what it looks like on Apple's 3D competitor...I'd sit here all day doing fly-throughs...

That makes me want to just drive down and take a look see from Bushy Branch. If i could find the dang charger for my video camera, which i bought 3 yrs ago for the Roo, i could get a real good look. It has a 70x optical zoom which got me some great shots at shows in '10. (Forgot the cord for it last year).
I too have stared at the overhead for hours just dreaming.
I bought a really nice dust mask this year. Every year I say I'm gonna buy one but this year I got around to it. Given my general luck with purchases, I won't even need it this year. So you're all welcome!
I went to bonnaroo in 2006 and the lot i was in was identified by a balloon with a number on it. mine was balloon 11. have they changed this at all because it was really hard to find balloon 11 at 4 am after partying all day and night. had total dude where's my car syndrome

Pod 11. pretty far from Centeroo. img39.imageshack.us/img39/7010/roo11map.jpg if you look at the pink squares, those are the PODs where the big balloons are. you were way off up to the northeast.

yes they still use them, to identify which "pod" you are in.
krushlow- when you get to your campsite, circle it on your map so you can ask a cab driver/stranger for help finding your way back if you're a bit scatter-brained
I thought so too. It certainly isn't on any of the maps I have from years before 2011.
Yeah, we were as far out as you can get in Clark Griswald in 2010. Across the road from us humanity stretched out even further. But, it was just tents... No pod. Extreme BFE.
