amazing weekend with the inforoo family. the fest was great, rain and all. totally missed the Black Lips waiting in one of those 45 min. bathroom waits. that sucked. other than that I can't complain. then we got to go VIP the last half of Sat. drank tons of free alcohol and got to use real bathrooms. that was nice.

Had a great time even through the rain on Saturday overall a good festival could use more bathrooms as others pointed out but if the lineup was as good as this year I would definitely like to make it back.
Favorite Sets from Saturday: Yeah Yeah Yeahs Queens of the Stoneage Arctic Monkeys Black Lips Weezer Few minutes of RHCP as we walked out of the crowd.
I liked everything and was mainly just happy to be there, I did think Journey was pretty epic though. I went in with low expectations, and was really impressed by the show. Taco and I got close by the end, and that kid they have singing is quite the showman.

Journey was amazing. I love all of those songs from growing up hearing them on the radio, but for whatever reason I've never taken them seriously. they're a really good band and put on a great show.

Shows are always better when everyone knows all the words and sings along. Like Buffet and Snoop at Bonnaroo '09.

it definitely adds so much to the experience... the sheer joy of being surrounded by a huge crowd all singing along with Paul was one of my all-time fave musical moments ever. like a giant auditory bear hug.

I had to much fun with you guys!! I don't think I have laughed so much in a LONG time. I love this festival and even in the pouring rain, I had a total blast. They really need to add more potties but that is my only complaint.

Yeah it was a real blast, my laughing and dancing muscles are still sore. This water bottle is dead to me now.....
Did no one go see Cake!? So good. Stood in about a foot of water for QOTSA but they rocked so it was all good.
I was down in front of soundboard for Cake. I was happy to finally see them and they were pretty great I had to leave early to see Jane's Addiction so I didn't see the whole show.
I did think of something to complain about other than the bathrooms. I like the 2 main stage setup, being that close together. but I did not like how there was no break between sets. from YYY to QOTSA to RHCP was a mad dash. we missed the first QOTSA song and same thing for RHCP.

This is exactly what The Hams and I did. Loved both of those shows
02/08 Tool 02/11 Jeff Mangum 02/17 of Montreal 02/29 Blind Pilot 03/31 The Naked & The Famous 05/14 M83 and I Break Horses 05/19 Flaming Lips, Young the Giant, Dawes and AWOLNATION 06/07 Bonnaroo 2012!!! 06/13 Roger Waters 07/28 Toadies
I saw the whole cake set, pretty close too... I thought it was the best I've ever seen them. They played all my favorites, Opera Singer, Frank Sinatra, and Mexico!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and of course, The Distance rocked it! Still haven't seen Janes Addiction, but Scott Weiland did a cover of the Mountain Song in Orlando, and I rather see Cake any day. One of the more original bands around!
I had the BEST TIME EVER at MM this year! It's so hard to choose a favorite, but for me it might be Weezer. Remember, I have a few years on most of you guys & I had never seen them before. Siggy, mayonaise & I rocked out to them in the pouring rain, saying that it was Music Midtown 2013-Weezer plays their Greatest Hits! Just about everything I saw was awesome. I don't know if I've ever seen a happier crowd as when Don't Stop Believin' started. So much dancing & air guitar playing (sang_xcx, I'm looking at you!) But what might have been even better was getting to spend time with some amazing people. Some I wish I could have spent more time with (@zenfnp, taco, dreamingtree, wolfmanjess, sammyjo), some I didn't get to meet up with, which made me sad (jmhayes & everyone else I missed).
Also of note, after doing some math today, I'm pretty sure that I drank at least 2 bottles of wine Saturday evening. I may have to screencap some of my drunks texts to share with you guys. I have a super big bruise that might have happened in a fall down the stairs at the Marta station. Regardless, I know I will be there again in 2014!

On Saturday @zenfnp, taco, dreamingtree, and myself snuck in something like 3 liters of wine, a water bottle full of vodka, two flasks and other assorted surprises. Some of these pictures will never surface.....

you, Andrea and I had 2 bottles each then. and that's just what we drank in VIP, not counting what we drank before then.

Haha I know that Taco has some priceless photos on her phone, possibly involving a blow up doll
