anyone need a place to stay ANY night? I have a completely open room. I'm in a northern suburb, not intown but relatively close to Marta. Also somebody can sleep with me if you don't steal covers, snore louder than me or have severe nocturnal digestive issues....lol.
Also, I'm willing to do brunch at my house on Sunday, but sounds like you all are wanting to keep the action intown.
At this point I'm leaning towards going Saturday only.
Monster00 you're correct, the Porter is my fav. But I dont know how it will accomodate 15-20 peeps. Pretty narrow in there where the beautiful beer wall is located.
SCROG! You should totally come. And bring Zen with you. ZEN - come any days! I would love to see your face!

Well, sadly, despite my best efforts, Lady Funk and I will not be attending either day of MM. Over the last year we saved up almost $100 in a special account where we've sold my music and her pictures, however I went to go buy 2 Saturday tickets today and it came out to be $151 with fee's... That's just highway robbery to us.
I ABSOLUTELY want to meet up with you all if you do a Sunday Brunch so just let me know.
It makes me sad that y'all can't attend. Have you looked on ebay? Craigslist? If I could I would give you all tickets.
If I ever win the lottery, that's what I will do. Give festival/concert tickets to all my friends. I guess it would help my chances if I actually bought lotto tickets.
Sunday BRUNCH Mission: Soak Up the Alcohol. Booze isnt served by the drink until noon. So where ever we go, I say we meet at 11:30? That gives all you hotel dwellers time to check out? I was thinking we could hit up this little place in the Highlands, bc there is a patio and it's generally not busy until after noon or 1 - Osteria - they have foccacia bread french toast y'all. However, not the best place for greasy food and bloody marys. Next choice - Brewhouse Cafe (has large outside patio) or the Porter (small outside seating but AMAZING beer choices and food).
There's our choices. Honestly, the Brewhouse is gonna serve our large party needs best I think. If you guys are down, I can call them and give them a heads up on our big ol' group - 20+?
So are we all cool with The Brewhouse for next Sunday brunch??!
our car over heated again and is in the shop again. so we're thinking we won't go to midtown. anyone interested in buying our tickets? we have 2 tix for both days. we would just give them away if we could, we don't expect to get face value for them, but we would like to get a little bit to help pay for getting the car fixed.
Sang...I'm so sorry that you guys can't come Congratulations on the job, though...maybe things will start to look up.
I wish that I could buy both tickets from you and give to deserving Inforooster(s). I'm barely able to buy my ticket though. Since I don't have my ticket yet, pm me with what you think is a fair price for one, and your address, and I will put a check in tomorrow's mail. That is, if you are OK with selling them individually.
I'd much rather give you the money that Ticketbastard, or some stranger.
and, providing that I can get someone to feed my dog both nights and bring him inside at a decent hour, I am going to TRY to come both days... no promises.... but maybe it will work out

Also, in addition to Sang's tix being on sale, Thatmeghan and Mr. Thatmeghan need to sell their Friday passes. Not sure how it works, as they have a weekend pass - but they can't go on Friday. So if anyone wants them, at say $40 each, or if you know anyone who wants them, let me know!

Weather is looking pretty, pretty nice for this weekend.
Friday Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. Friday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 61. Saturday Mostly sunny, with a high near 78. Saturday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 58.
I have such mixed emotions about this. On the one hand, I'm touched and delighted to get tickets but heartbroken that its at the expense of Sang and Mrs. Sang not getting to go I'm sending Sang all the funds I can spare, and plan to bring my youngest daughter Mary Rose with me. Maggie already had made plans for the weekend. I can't wait to see you all, to introduce you to my baby girl, and to enjoy some good music for 2 nights.
And we need to send Sang all the karma that we can muster. Seriously, I feel very inadequate in my response.

My buddy and I are heading down from North Carolina and looking for a place to stay for the weekend. We should be getting there late thursday. Anyone wanna help a brother out?
Hope y'all have a great time. Maggie and I tried to swing this, but her job is going outta business and we have to save every cent we can to make ends meet. Will be sending the love from Athens!

We get to see Mookie Blaylock in a few short days! ;D Which happens to be my all time favorite band.
I auditioned to be on VH1's World Series of Pop Culture, and Mookie Blaylock was our team name. We made red jersey's with the number 10 on them. I wanted to be "Southern Pop Culture on the Skids", but I was overruled.
