But if the pre-party sells out before May 10th, are we just fucked? I assumed if we e-mailed her and told her that we wanted one they would hold it with our bracelets when we go pick it up. I guess instead they give you a promotional code to order it online. whatever. e-mail already sent...she hasn't responded yet.

For what it's worth, I went ahead and replied to her as well asking if they could guarantee availability when we pick up wristbands. I'll pass along her response if I get one.
There may be some more adds coming. Anyone else heard anything about that?
Party in the Park (ATL 5/18) already had our leftovers of Passion Pit, Ellie Goulding, and Grouplove. But, they just added Yeasayer. Would it be much of a stretch for them to come down to Gulf Shores?

I got the presser for how to contact artists coming to the festival. There were three bands on it that are not on the lineup. They might be bands that were going to play but it didn't work out though.

Hints?
It was Snoop Dogg, Cold War Kids, and Vintage Trouble. I just heard back and they are not playing, so something must have fallen through.

I just got an email saying wristbands are shipping that included a blurb about what they're going to have as far as a beer selection. Bud Light, Goose Island, Stella Artois, LandShark, Shock Top, Bud Light Lime-a-Rita and Straw-Ber-Rita.

Just wanted to highlight the band at the bottom of Thursday's pre-show bill. Up and coming band out of Birmingham, "St. Paul and the Broken Bones". Really great stuff!

got my wristband on thursday.
I'm really pleased with the speed with which Hangout shipped the wristband, as well as released the schedule. Feels like everything is going smoothly. I hope the rumors about poor ticket sales aren't true, I definitely want this festival to succeed.
From what I've been told, tickets are selling just fine. Those rumors came from the same people who said they weren't doing a pre party. Expect a sell out very close to the festival. It's a bunch of Dave Matthews fans behind all this malarky. I'm glad they won't be there. The fewer bros the better.
To people that attended the pre party last year or people that think they know the answer:
based off the lineup to the preparty this year I cant help but think maybe it will have more of an actual festival vibe, like a real jam band fest type thing you know what I mean. So is there any difference in the vibe thursday compared to the rest of the festival? and Is anyone on here going to the lance herbstrong show early friday , seems like a good way to start off the fest if your not going thursday

Well, you're comparing apples to oranges. The Thursday lineup last year was a lot more varied than last year, IMHO. That said, the vibe was (away from the EDM tent anyway) super chill and not the least bit obnoxious. People were friendly and respectful.
This vibe continued into my Friday experience as well. The summers breeze in a sac factor really didn't play into the fest until Saturday (SCI & Peppers) and was the worst on Sunday (DMB). I'm expecting to see less of a d-bag vibe this year simply because of the lineup.
"Pick and choose: Hangout Music Fest 2013 to offer single-day passes"
The single-day passes are $89 and will go on sale at 9 a.m. central time on Wednesday at the festival website.
Yeah, weak. I would bet that on Friday afternoon 3 day wristbands can be had for $100.
On an unrelated note, I got VIP again this year and was pleased to learn I can get in free to the Thursday kickoff. I asked them if VIP Grove would be open and available on Thursday and here's the reply...
"The VIP Grove was not open on Thursday last year, but we are expanding... so there is a chance. I'm sorry I don't have an answer about that for you. About a week before the festival, you will receive an email with a more detailed VIP package description, which is super exciting and should have that answer for you."

Random question: Looks like they finally have a shuttle running down Ft. Morgan Rd this year. But it looks like it only stops at the Beach Club. What are the chances the shuttle makes any other stops along the way? We're staying at house that could be within easy walking distance of The Peninsula or one of those RV parks that I think people camped at last year...
Any inside info on that? I'd love to ride the shuttle instead of parking and drawing straws for DDs.
The shuttles were terrible in 2011. Awful. We decided to pay to park last year and it was 1000X better. As an observation, the shuttle system and lines last year didn't seem to be much improved.
