You guys will not believe the night I just had. So I went and saw C2C at Irving Plazs. Show was ridiculous, it was their first time ever playing in NY and pretty much the entire crowd only spoke French (they are from France and I guess the only ppl who knew about them were other French ppl). Anyway totally sick show.
After the show I check my Facebook and LCD Soundsytems page shows up in my feed and says to come to some bar in Chinatown. So I go there, James Murphy is filming some movie, I met him and talked to him for like a good 5 minutes. No pictures were allowed but I think I'm going to be in whatever movie he was filming. It was insane.
Then I get a quacking text message from a friend that says come to Brooklyn Bowl Bonnaroo just said there's a surprise Pretty Lights show. We quacking hauled ass to Brooklyn and caught like 45 minutes of Pretty Lights doing a surprise show and then ducking ?uestlove shows up and he starts doing a set. Fukyeah New York. What an insane goddamn evening.

I've bolded all the "Good" EDM acts Lollapalooza booked this year, IN MY OPINION of course:
Knife Party Steve Aoki Steve Angello Flux Pavilion Major Lazer Dada Life Dillon Francis Disclosure Adventure Club Griz Modestep Baauer MONSTA Alvin Risk Art Department Kill The Noise Robert DeLong Keys n Krates
There are also more EDM acts that I've discovered listening to the playlist, but didnt feel like hunting down and adding.
How has no one given you sh*t about this list yet? So you think all the EDM is good except the 3 most popular acts? You're like the laziest hipster ever. Major Lazer is excellent (even if his live show is starting to go the Flaming Lips over-saturation route) and you yourself were slobbing over Jah No Partial in the Coachella thread. Baauer? Dance memes aside also pretty decent.
How has no one given him shit? He's mostly right. Aoki is absolutely fucking awful live, Baauer is a great producer but a god awful DJ (listen to his mixes, it's airhorns and fumbled transitions). Major Lazer is quite good but the live show is overhyped and underwhelming. Adventure Club is a brostep duo they still throws Levels into their sets, nuff said.

THIS IS AWESOME!!!! I'm happy for you sounds like an insane night. I want to live in a city just so surprise stuff like this can happen to me. James Murphy is one of my music heroes and i got to meet him on SS Coachella, dude is so chill.
Sounds like an amazing night though i wouldn't be sleeping either.
I'll give you Flux, Griz, Disclosure, Art Dept, Modestep, and Kill the Noise..... but remind me how Lolla 2013's EDM Lineup is "actually VERY good".......... let's take a peak at 2012

Phi playing EDM tastemaker is blowing my mind right now.

...and Knife Party, Dada Life, Dillon Francis, Modestep, and Kill the Noise are Sahara-style cheese. This conversation is terrible.
At least Knife Party and Kill The Noise can actually mix. Can't say much for the rest.

What was C2C's set up like?
4 guys 4 turn tables stretched across the whole stage all mixing at the same time.. occasionally one of them or multiple of them would do vocals. Two of them covered Intergalactic by Beastie Boys at one point.

To be fair, Dog Blood being on the lineup is HUGE for me. Boys Noize is one of my favorites live (cannot wait for him on the farm) and I enjoyed the Dog Blood set from UMF.
I was at that set, they killed it live. I'm sad Sonar Festival has Skrillex during Bonnaroo weekend, else we'd probably have Dog Blood too (they're hitting up a couple festivals this year). Still stoked for Boys Noize though.
It say's electro in the thread title . I seriously know so little about electronic that I can't tell if you're serious haha. But I'm tired of clicking on random artists. I just want some good music of the electronic variety. I don't care about genre or anything.

Inforoo Rule #230: Never take anything Whoreshack says seriously. This goes double for EDM threads.

I could certainly detect the sarcasm in his post, I just couldn't tell if I was actually in the wrong thread lol.

Yeah, there are two main EDM threads. This one and NoD's bleep bloop thread. Apparently, electronic music fans don't play well together because they couldn't coexist in one thread without spamming Skrillex pictures.

I wish we all lived in the world that I lived in, where hilarious pictures of Skrillex and good ole' fashioned electronic music discussions could coexist in one place.
