i won't be doing that. my bladder was about to explode after radiohead finished. i know paul likes to play long, 40 song sets. i'll be doing my best to do wilco -> paul from the rail behind the pit.
I was in the front of the pitline for Radiohead... Waited all day long. You meet friends and everyone is very protective over each others' spots. Eveyone took bathroom and food breaks... You'll see me in the Macca line this year. its a long ass day, but... It'll be worth it

I was in line around 7:30. Around 9:15, right before they opened the pit, i think, 'hey, i should use the bathroom'. But i didn't want to get left out. Then by the time the show ended i was dying.
Its going to be an all day affair waiting for the pit. Like as soon as the what opens up there will be several hundred people waiting. Then there will be people at the end who don't know or do know but don't care trying to cut it doesn't sound like fun to me. But to each his or her own.
I'm not big on waiting for the pit. I've been three times ('08,'09,'11) and have never tried to get in the line for the pit. Ive been in the front of the regular section and I've loved it...plenty close enough for me. In '08 I watched BB King>Jack Johnson>Pearl Jam and I moved up each time giving me a spot along the fence at the front of the regular section (great spot in my opinion). I will probually try for something similar this year at Macca.
I hope he plays an hour and a half and we can move on to a headliner who is still making good music in this millennium.
Headliners suck this year
You're entitled to your opinion. Go back to camp and rest up like I will during Mumford. Paul McCartney in my opinion is one of then most important musicians of the last fifty years. He is still making great music at live shows and I can't wait to se him. Paul McCartney at bonnaroo is like a gift from the rock and roll gods to me and I can't wait. I am personally glad there are people who don't want to see him so the feild will be that much less crowded.

I dont see the logic in camping out at the What and losing a whole day of Roo just to see Macca or anyone else from the pit. Why not just work magic at an arena show, not waste a day, and not worry about food, pissing your pants, or heat stroke? I think part of the fun is being In the massive crowd. You can see anyone up close at an arena, but you cant fit 80k in an arena.

It is totally unnecessary to camp all day, even if you want in the pit.

I agree with that 100 percent. As cool as it is to be up close at a concert, I love being right in the middle of the crowd, taking in the sight of all those people watching.

Mark Ronson recorded three songs with Paul McCartney
NEW YORK (AP) — Mark Ronson went from being the DJ at Paul McCartney's wedding to producing for the icon in the studio. Ronson said in an interview Thursday that he worked on three songs with the former Beatles singer. He called the process "insane."
"It's really good. He writes really good songs," Ronson said. "He understands that you're so nervous to be working with Paul McCartney 'cause everyone is," he said. "He gives you a lot of leeway, but then at the end of the day you need to deliver the goods."
McCartney married Nancy Shevell in 2011 at a London ceremony. He announced on his website this week that he's planning to release a new album and that that he'll launch his "Out There!" world tour June 22 in Warsaw, Poland.
"I don't know if (our stuff) is revolutionary, but they're brilliant songs. I just tried to give him a sound he was looking for." Ronson said he learned so much from collaborating with McCartney. "You take a master class in production, like harmonies and layering sounds and arrangement. His ideas are just incredible."
Having already seen the dead, bob Dylan, the beastie boys, Bruce Springsteen, phish, jimmy buffet, taj mahal, patti smith, and the MMJ thunder dome set at bonnaroo, I honestly believe that McCartney will be the best show I have ever seen at bonnaroo! E V E R!

This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
I think the moment I'm anticipating the most is 'Hey Jude' I'm not going to say I expect it to be one of the best moments of my life, but looking around and seeing us all singing the 'Naaaa Na Na Na Na Na Naaaaa' in unison may very well bring a tear to my eye. Or two.
