You just didn't like him because he was so good looking with all that luscious hair he kept tucking behind his ear.
Well that, the offbeat finger snapping & clapping, pretty much everything about that guy just resonated with douchebauggery. That solo song he did was so terrible that I had to hold myself back from throwing my drink at him. It was funny seeing him standing on the side of the stage watching Tame Impala though. We could sense the envy...completely eat up with it. The sad thing is that band will eventually make it with their black keys wannabe sound, their second unnecessary drummer, and their sexy derp of a vocalist that thinks his shiit don't stank.
I was so fucking mad he did not close that door on the left side.
Sure this answers my question, thanks for contributing.
I contributed that Petty and Wu Tang would be at Roo and I believe Petty was the first confirmed Headliner what have you done other than cry about the amazing Coachella lineup and get shat on by badpunz. Yeah thanks for contributing so much that is of use try again.

Is it a given that they'd close a tent? I would love to see them in an afternoon slot on the Which. They have a great light show, but I think it'd be great fun to jump around to Alter Ego in the sun!
Choosing between Tame Impala and Swans is going to make me cry. I will have to choose Swans though because I just saw Tame Impala and I blew it on seeing Swans last year in ATL.
According to the band manager, they play Sunday. It's a fact, unfortunately.
I'm more bothered by the very real possibility of an awful conflict than the idea of them playing during the day
Gotcha. Thanks. Last years Sunday was conflict-a-mania! Guess they're gearing up for the same this year. Unless..(I'm gonna be that guy here) Sunday means after midnight saturday night. Could be the manager throwing a curveball. I already know I'm wrong.

don't forget the national/david byrne & st vincent. christ, the lineup has only been out a week and we already have a 4 way clusterfuck to close the fest.

I saw David Byrne & St Vincent last year. Not a huge fan of The National, but I'd like to see them. Swans win.
Had I not seen any of them, David Byrne & St Vincent would win. If I'd already seen all of them, Tame Impala would probably win.
Work did its best to keep me from the show, but I made it there about halfway through the set. Would love to have seen the whole thing, but half is better then nothing. As I found a place to park and was walking down the streets of Austin, I could hear the bassline of Elephant grooving along, I knew I was in the right place
The show was amazing and the place was packed with an enthusiastic crowd. They added more jams to some of the songs then I was expecting. Hopefully they kick that up even another notch at their 'roo set.
Didn't get to grab the setlist, but the guy who got it was nice enough to let me snap a pic of it.
Three year lurker, this will be my second roo! Once I found out about this whole Sunday evening conflict madness, I promptly bought myself a ticket to see Tame Impala in Montreal next week, even if it's a good six hour drive.

I drove 6 hours to see them last weekend in Athens and it was totally worth it. Of course, three friends riding with me and splitting gas/hotel helped a ton. I would not hesitate to do it by myself to have that experience again though.
I'm seeing them this Friday in Columbus. Tickets to the show sold out weeks in advance. I'm pretty excited to see how the new album translates to a live setting.

You won't be disappointed, they're killing it from what I saw
It's not a great picture but the one on the left is the tour poster and the one on the right is the Terminal 5 specific poster.
It seems like every show I've gone to, I'll stare at the posters at the merch table for 10 minutes having a strong internal battle as to whether or not I should buy one knowing full well the slippery slope it would be. Finally tonight I said f*ck it and bought their tour poster; it's way too cool to pass up.

Can anyone who has seen them live give some insight as to how well they reproduce their studio sound live? I think my main concern is the lead singer's voice, which has been very up and down depending on which youtube video you watch.
When I saw them in New York in November his voice was spot on. In the Athens show last month the whole band had fallen ill and Kevin's voice suffered a little bit from it. It still didn't take away from the show one bit, in my opinion.
