You are going to LOVE the changing colors in the mountains! Like Dave, it's hard to imagine never having seen it - we used to go camping in the north GA mountains every February when I was a kid.
That said, I've never seen the Pacific Ocean, or a legit desert. I've seen the high altitude desert up in the pacific NW, but never a "real" desert... I love that music festivals are what get me to different parts of our GREAT NATION! AMERICA F*CK YEAH!

not like how it is back there. here we have a small assortment of trees that make a really pathetic attempt at changing color, but it's nothing compared to the photos i've seen from places that experience "seasons".

You know...now that glasto is out of the cards for 2013, I propose we get you to coachella and take care of two of those items tout de suite.

I intentionally fly into Phoenix for Coachella just to drive through the desert. My west coast friends make fun of me but thats tthe stuff they take for granted. I suppose its like changing leaves and snow in the northeast. Im hella excited to make the trek to Asheville. I love driving parts of the country I havent been to yet.

Problem: I may not be able to pay attention to the road.
Solution, CKS: there are scenic overlooks on US 64 thru the mountains. Just pull over & take it all in. THat's what I had to do last year for Jack when we drove up to Moog: his jaw was on the car floorboard for half the trip - he was blown away by how gorgeous the colors were! And this from a guy who grew up in Australia where, I can attest, they've got some pretty spectacular mountains!

Wow guys! 10 days left, 9 for us ppl on Thursday! I can't wait. For any of the gals who are doing a little costume shopping, I can't find the furry boot covers in any stores. So yesterday, I STARTED MAKING MY MOOGTU! Yipppeeee! It's about 2/3 done. I now have a hood and a tutu. That's a full outfit, right? Oh and so I have only been to JoAnn's Fabrics once before- to buy my rootu materials in May- and the cashier remembered me! I am not sure if I should be honored or scared...

Is anyone still without their tickets? I havent received mine and I know my order got kinda screwed up going from will call to mailing them. Just wondered if I should give another ring to Ticketmaster or if Im over reacting because its 9 days before I leave.

Hey guys, I've been lurking around the two moog threads for the past few months and have gotten lots of great info from y'all. I'm hoping someone could help me out, its looking like I'm going to get into asheville a night earlier than planned. Could anyone spare some floor space thursday night for me and a friend? We'll have delicious beers and will split room costs for the night.
