I am so mad I didn't buy Sunday...only Friday and Saturday. What's the typical scene there, from Fest goers, does anyone unload their 3rd days or are there any Phish like "Need 1" possibilities?

Felice Brothers are definitely Sunday? Damn. That's good because it won't conflict with Jim James but not as good cuz it'll hurt my wallet to get a weekend pass from someone. Either way, them being at NFF has exponentially increased my chances of going.

Someone from the forum for my FrankiesGun.com site posted the following about NFF:
On a side note... I spoke with one of the members of Sprit Family Reunion last wknd, and he said they are playing an aftershow in Newport with another band, but it hasn't been announced yet. Wouldn't be surprises if it's w the Felice Brothers.

Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
While we seemed to agree that Mumford and Sons would not headline Newport Folk Festival, it's interesting that they are headlining the Telluride Bluegrass Festival. Both festivals seem to be of similar size and price.
I'm still holding out some hope! (although, I'm sure it's for naught with the organizers claiming that they had tried to book them in the past and they declined)
While talking about Telluride Bluegrass, I also wouldn't mind if Dispatch headlined Friday or Saturday night at NFF.

Nothing new besides what I posted there. Just thinking that maybe they are having the late night shows but without Deer Tick this year. Usually Deer Tick plays a few nights with guests but if they aren't doing it this year I could see a few other bands taking the late night spots.

Due to financial reasons, I've been thinking about possibly not coming to NFF - however, after watching this video, I really, really want to come up. Got chills several times!

This is amazing.
If this year's lineup even comes close to the amazingness that was last year's lineup, I'll be happy (though it'll be really hard to do).
Friday aft I was crafting and listening to the adult alt music station on cable. Heard this song that made me Say whoahhh.. this rocks and moves me.. got to see who this is...
The Lone Bellow, 'You never need nobody'.. Blew me away!! Can not Wait to see them at NFF!! Maintenance is So going to have to clean up my drool. The lead is pleasant on the eyes and Damn what a voice.

Did you actually get up or did you just hold up your sign?

She had to get up because I was out with the pups.
NFF just announced on Twitter that there are about 27 more acts left to be announced.
There were 45 bands last year (48 if you count Friday). They've announced 24 so far, so 26 more would bring us to an even 50 (they announced 27 left, but then they announced one today so I'm assuming we've got 26 more to go). Assuming they have around the same number playing Sat/Sun as last year...only 5 bands on Friday? Maybe they'll do it like last year, have one "bigger" band headlining that night, then a bunch of smaller bands opening?
You're guessing approximately 22 on Saturday and Sunday and 5 on Friday then? I could also see them dropping 2 acts on each of Sat and Sun (there are a lot of conflicts already anyways) and expanding Friday to 10 bands (thus successfully making it a half of a day).
26 bands left. One will be Frank Turner. 2 are likely to still be "headliners." Here's hoping for *insert band I like here*
