k2b... that looks woooonderfully suspicious! I'd love to try to make the Port Chester show, but I fully plan to already be at Quack Club and drunk that night.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

WHOW! There is a name named Bonnie? I've never heard of such shenanigans before.
(Obviously, I've never heard of these two)
He's gone by Will Oldham (his actual name), Bonny Billy, and Bonnie "Prince" Billy. He never seems to break out (probably because of the style of music he plays), but he's continuously one of Pitchfork's favorite artists.

The 24th is a Wednesday, not Thursday
Ahhhh you're right. Well, I will wait to see if they get added or not. If not, I'm going to try to make that show happen.

Lovey dovey duet? They know the way to my heart!! Still confused about the Bonnie thing, though.
I have yet to pin down Bonnie "Prince" Billy. It doesn't help that his stage name changes album by album.
A lot of his albums are collaborations (he even has an album with post-rock outfit Tortoise). The hipsters seem to love him; he's played a bunch of ATP festivals (curated by Portishead, Shellac, etc.) and has received "Best New Music" honors before from Pitchfork.
He even released a condom for record store day last year.
Here's another good song from him:
Maybe someone more familiar with him and his music can better fill you in.

First time listening to Cold Specks and I really like her music (although on album, her songs sound kind of rushed). I've passed on Justin Townes Earle quite a few times when given a chance to see him, so hopefully I can finally make it happen at NFF.
There is no lineup announcement today. Kind of a drag that these announcements have slowed down. The good news is that NFF announced that Bob Dylan would not be playing the festival (he's just a little passed his prime to see live).

Didn't they say that it had more to do with budget issues to sign dylan? I think the most unfortunate thing about seeing dylan perform now is he only plays piano because his hands just can't play the guitar like he used to.
I would assume they are the Friday night headliner.
This is GREAT! I was hoping for some kickass uptempo Bluegrass to get me stomping! I'm thinking that Trampled By Turtles won't be a there a third year in a row so this makes me very happy.

Time to update my top 10 with this awesome announcement:
1. The Lumineers 2. Old Crow Medicine Show 3. Lord Huron 4. Frank Turner 5. Spirit Family Reunion 6. Shovels & Rope 7. Andrew Bird 8. Father John Misty 9. Jim James 10. Langhorne Slim & The Law
I'm also holding out some optimistic hope that NFF will land M&S to headline on Saturday night. Mumsons have yet to announce a show that weekend (will be in Europe the weekend before and in North America the weekend after). And the fact that they're headlining Telluride Bluegrass Festival means they're not necessarily too big.

Certainly smaller than Wilco. Especially with so many more bands on Friday this year, we might get a bigger headliner.
I'm not sure we can compare to Friday this year to Friday last year. Wilco was the preshow (a big one, but a preshow) that didn't even sell out. It seems like they're trying to make themselves a three day fest. They have no option to expand size wise so not extend the time?
