I also forgot to mention.. on our way out I was walking with a group of my friends, and I wasn't paying attention. I started veering off so there was maybe 10 ft of space between us. They saw a man come out of the shadows and start walking up to me (who apparently was staring me down the whole time he walked). He came up into my face and mumbled something I couldn't understand, so I got very confused and was like "WHAT?"
My boyfriend was like "what are you doing dude?? I think you're scaring her" and the guy said "you don't look like her boyfriend, you wanna do someothing about it?"
It was an odd experience. Never anything like that happening at another festival. It would have been one thing if he was tired and dehydrated and needed water. but he seemed like a prowler. So glad I have great guy friends who always protect me haha
I had an amazing time at this fest, great way to kind of slowly get off of Post Roo depression. I did enjoy the expansion of the area, and there were a lot of fences and stuff that made me think they're already kind of preparing for next year as well.
Obviously traffic on thursday was atrocious, i don't know why this was really. I guess maybe try and move everybody in on thursday or something, because something has to be fixed for that. Other complaint is easier to identify water stations. They just had them under tarps like all the vendors. I like how bonnaroo has the mushroom tops because they're easy to see. They also need more water stations as well, i felt like when ever i was looking for one it was pretty far off in the distance.
I still enjoyed the line up, and i liked how small some crowds were. Got to get extremely close for Vampire Weekend, Jim James, YYY, Grizzly Bear, and Cvrches. Pretty excited to be adding this festival to my yearly festivals though as it is only an hour away.
Loved it so much. Only complaint is the proximity of the two main stages and the two small stages. But I think foster the people deserved their headlining slot. It was incredibly amazing. Somehow I stumbled my way into VIP on Sunday as well!
Loved there set at Bonnaroo last year, even with the sound problems that Which Stage can bring.
