Once Bonnaroo releases the time schedules, Im going to set up my sleeping bag in front of the rail a month ahead of time since I only live one county away . Can't wait to see Jim and Friends!
My professor said he didn't know specifically who would be playing with him. But if it was literally "old friends" then he knew who it would be. Apparently there was a group of dudes who all rotated bands and played together regularly back in the day.

Does anybody want to take a stab at what a setlist might look like? A buddy and I were talking today and I really couldn't visualize it, I've also never been to a solo show.

Check out the link below to a 2008 Newport Folk Fest solo set. This is mostly MMJ tunes as stripped down solo versions. I could see him playing a few of those alone, most of the album with band and maybe a monsters of folk and new multitudes song or two. a civer or two. something like that maybe.

I'm gonna say he'll play a majority of his new album and maybe more depending on his slot. Defintelyy through in at least a couple acoustic MMJ songs and a cover or two.
This confirmation pretty much also confirmed my assistance. New album's great as expected. Has anybody else read this? One of the best interviews I've seen.

This album sounds amazing, thanks for the link. I hope Bonnaroo does him justice and gives him a LN which or tent, because the atmosphere created on this album would be perfect for it.

Either that or a sunset which slot and I'd be more than happy.

I REALLY want to see his solo show while he's touring before Bonnaroo. Does anyone have a MMJ Roll Call username/password they'd be willing to PM me? If so, I'll buy you drinks at the Louisville show AND/OR on the farm!

This feels like a tent show to me, just based on the sound of the album, but he is in high demand among Roo'ers so Which Stage is a strong possibility. New album is very good. Short, but sweet.

He won't get late night which. Not as a solo act. I love him and so does Roo but I don't think he's nearly that big for that slot. I think he'll be during the day for the solo show.

Yeah I think he'll either be a Which Stage closer or the second-to-last act on the Which Stage on Friday or Saturday. He could potentially close a tent I guess, but I see Which being the spot for him.

I guess I just hear that album and the style is just so perfect for a late night, and I just couldn't see him in a tent. I think his lineup position will be a bit of an indicator.
