^You're not supposed to like any of the leads in that movie, Katy... they're all despicable characters. Actually, that was one of the things I liked most about GWTW.
As for best 90s movies, I think it's fair to mention Schindler's List as well, though... I really truly think it's an absolute masterpiece on multiple levels.

I gotta go pretend not to be crying for a little bit.
City of God Silence of the Lambs Lawrence of Arabia The Deer Hunter Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
and tons of other classics that have never really sparked my interest.
Tons? You, sir, get a 10. I find that, very often, movies that don't 'spark my interest' beforehand completely engross me once I finally sit down and start watching. Have yourself a movie night.

It's not about disliking the characters, I don't enjoy movies where I end it wishing I hadn't even watched it in the first place.
Also, I've seen probably the least movies of anyone on this forum, and even I have seen Raiders of the Lost Ark.
I'm gonna go ahead and say I'm not big into the Indiana Jones movies... maybe when I was a lot younger, but they do nothing for me anymore. That said, Raiders Of The Lost Ark is far and away the best of the series, and one of the better blockbuster/popcorn films of the 80s.
Avatar Belle De Jour (I have it on DVR, just haven't watched it yet) The French Connection (my dad used to watch it all the time when I was really young, but I never sat and watched it) Amarcord The English Patient Flags Of Our Fathers Letters From Iwo Jima Bridge On River Kwai The Dirty Dozen The Longest Day
There are more that I imagine should be obvious to me, but I can't think of them... I've seen most of the AFI 100. I'm noticing that there are a lot of early war films I have not seen.
there's some great stuff in here, but nothing completely outrageous. You get a 4. You sound like a good movie watcher.
I like zoolander probably a lot more than I should.
Everyone likes Zoolander a lot more than they should. It has no right to be as funny as it is.
Didn't like it when I saw it in the theaters... I think I laughed at maybe a half dozen things in that movie... ended up fucking HATING it once it came out on video and everyone and their mothers were quoting it, constantly. Yeah... I am not a fan.
One excellent 90s movie that I think gets overlooked and underrated is The Crying Game... watched it for the first time since it came to video a number of months ago, and I was really floored by it (even remembering the "twist").

I agree that people quoting movies constantly can make it annoying but I still find a LOT of the movie to be hilarious. It's one of those movies that you have to avoid for a little while and then when you watch it again you remember all the dumb things that made you laugh. Particularly the Jitterbug/gasoline fight, the Walk-off, and Hansel thinking they can get files from a computer by smashing it open.
90's movies and no one has mentioned Trainspotting?
edit// Or Goodfellas, Fightclub, or Groundhog Day?
I just realized almost every movie I've actually seen and liked was made in the 90s.
I agree on the other ones especially Goodfellas and Groundhog Day (always forget how awesome that movie is)... howver, I may be the only one here, but I detest Fight Club. With a burning passion.
Pulp Fiction, Boogie Nights, Forest Gump, Dazed and Confused, Office Space, Toy Story, Saving Private Ryan, Tombstone, Braveheart.
I'd have to include Fargo and Schindler as well...
Ok - I can't take it anymore. I try to stay out of these kinds of threads because I love movies so much, but there are some things getting out of control here.
Please remove Forrest Gump from the above and you're getting warm. Please insert Chungking Express, LA Confidential, Shawshank, Reservoir Dogs, Glenngarry Glen Ross, Belle Epoque and Princess Mononoke and you're getting really warm. Ah, what the heck - throw in Boyz n the Hood if you want to go influence as well.

You are not the only one. I've seen it twice and that is enough for the rest of my life.
