I think a lot of people were waiting to see about the schedule and day tickets. Things might go quicker. What's the going rate for plasma in knoxville, these days?

I can't sell plasma, man. I did it in college and it was fine. I was going to do it in '10 to help pay for Roo, but the tech messed up and sent the needle all the way through my vein causing the inside of my elbow to swell up due to the bleeding, so the idea of selling plasma again makes me nauseous.
P.S. abrakapokus did succesfully sell hers that year to pay for my ticket. If you ask her, she will tell you all about her sacrifice for a Roo she didn't even go to.
Man, I felt so used by donating plasma. Maybe it was them checking me all over for track marks or just the ppl that were there but I felt so gross. So I remind Dave of my sacrifice while he saw one of my favorites Roo line ups ever.

My big one is Waxahatchee vs SUUNS vs Magik Markers. If I were solo, I'd have no problem, but I'm not. I'll have June Cleaver and she's the conflict buster. Should be a surprise where I end up.

Califone vs. John Cale is the big one for me. On the one hand, it's probably my only chance to ever see John Cale. On the other hand, it's also probably my only chance to see Califone in a church. Fortunately, I have two months to figure it out
Been listening to lots of Low, Califone, and John Cale and it's just fucking things up more. The fact that all three are playing in pristine venues doesn't help, either.
I think Hopscotch might be one of the only festivals where part of my decision on who to go see depends on what venue they're playing in. It happens at MoogFest/Mountain Oasis, as well, but that's more "do I think I can get in?" than "this band is playing in a church/opera hall"
I saw Angel this past weekend and she was just divine. You may not be able to pull away. While I knocked out a few conflicts with P4K, I created a few more.
I need those day parties soon. If I can catch Protomartyr or Lady Lamb and the Beekeeper at one of those, I'll be happy.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, Big Boi will not perform as scheduled on Friday, Sept. 6, in Raleigh City Plaza as part of Hopscotch Music Festival. We learned of this news very recently and have been working hard to both fill Big Boi’s slot and secure a potential make-up date with him later in September. We will announce complete details next week regarding additional talent and ticketing, so please stay tuned to hopscotchmusicfest.com. This announcement will include information regarding any refunds. We regret having to make this announcement at such a late date, but we’re very excited about sharing the additions to the Friday, Sept. 6, Raleigh City Plaza bill.
I've seen Big Boi twice (he was great both times), so it's not a huge disappointment for me. Really interested in who they'll replace him with. Hopscotch has been pretty good with replacements in the past (Trash Talk replaced Baroness last year and Killer Mike replaced Death Grips the year before)

The thing that strikes me is, unlike Roo's facebook, almost every comment is just suggestions for replacements rather than people losing their minds like it's the end of the world. I am confused.
There is a vast difference between the Bonnaroo FB commenter and the Hopscotch FB commenter. Actually, there is a vast difference between normal people and and Bonnaroo FB commenters.
I think Spiritualized was the draw. Big Boi was just the icing, you know?

I had a ticket the last time they came through, but visited my grandparents with my family and didn't make it back in time. Outside, at night will be sublime.
I'm pretty ok with Big Boi not being there. It would have been a fun show, but I am looking forward to seeing who the replacement will be. MBV would be amazing! If they are going to stick with rap, Wu Tang?
