I was waiting for someone else to start this thread. I can't stop raving about this festival. I had such a blast. I've reserved my room at the Days Inn already and I'm picking up VIP the second they go on-sale.
Get your walking shoes on, I'm already excited.
Thursday: 9/05 Helado Negro (CAM) Endless Boogie Jamaican Queens Magik Markers Angel Olsen (Fletchers) Oblivians Lady Lamb The Beekeeper Adult. Chatham County Line (Long View Center)
Friday: 9/06 Big Boi Future Islands Gross Ghost David Grubbs Big Black Delta Mount Moriah (Fletchers) Night Beds (Fletchers) Local Natives SUUNS High Highs (White Collar Crime)
I'm not sure how much they were but I have heard from multiple people that the VIP wasn't worth it last year. The additional capacity the added venues provided made it super easy to get into shows you wanted to see.
My Bloody Valentine Frank Ocean (They tried to get him last year so I could see him headlining one of the nights this year.) Deerhunter Archers of Loaf War on Drugs Grouper DIIV Ty Segall in some form Wild Nothing Allah-Las Bleached Mikal Cronin The Orwells Kurt Vile Churches King Khan & The Shrines Nicolas Jaar Tim Hecker and Daniel Lopatin William Tyler as the collaborator in residence
Hopscotch is definitely my favorite festival. I would love to see them have local bands open the city plaza shows again.

Ugh. I live right next door and I keep missing out on this. Labor Day usually goes to whatever the lady wants to do, she may just have to take one for the team this year.
We're close but it doesn't work with the kids. I'll just have to go when the kids are old enough to be left alone, maybe I'll get the AARP discount by then.

Just like last year, people are welcome to stay at mi casa for this. Wilco seems like a potential headliner if they're touring (they were booked two years ago but dropped out at the last second and the festival got Flaming Lips instead). Will let you guys know anything if I hear anything.
