I'm thinking it wouldn't be MBV. They are heading back to Europe several days after FYF, and before Hopscotch. The date is free, but still in Europe after. I'd love to see Wilco still. A Wilco/Spiritualized double bill would be a dream come true.

According to this article two acts will be replacing Big Boi and they will make the announcement on tuesday. I don't know why, but I think one of them will be Death Grips.

That would be great. Since we're getting two acts, instead of one, I think that cancels out any chance of an MBV/Wilco-sized act. I'm fine with two smaller ones. I'd like to see Beach House. They're back from a European tour then, right up the road in Baltimore, and have the Future Islands connection.

Also: The Big Boi show in Memorial Auditorium will be General Admission The first 1,000 tickets for Big Boi at Memorial Auditorium on SATURDAY, SEPT. 21, will be available to Hopscotch wristband buyers for FREE. These 1,000 tickets will be available at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Raleigh when Hopscotch wristband distribution begins Wednesday, Sept. 4 at 12 p.m. WE WILL DISTRIBUTE THESE TICKETS UNTIL THEY ARE GONE, AND ONLY ONE TICKET WILL BE GIVEN PER VIP, 3-DAY, or 1-DAY FRIDAY WRISTBAND. To obtain your Big Boi ticket, simply ask the volunteer who is assisting you at the Sheraton. No tickets will be given away without the redemption of an applicable wristband.

Between DJ Paypal and Matthew Dear on Thursday, Future Islands, Holy Ghost, and A-Trak on Friday, and Riton on Sunday, this is going to be the danciest Hopscotch Fest yet.
Unrelated to this year, but I would love it if they got Antony and the Johnsons one year in Fletcher Opera Theater. Been listening to The Crying Light in the car this week.

It's going to be another long quacking month.
I've been looking up past years' day party lists and it makes me wish I had made it out to more. I've never made it out to see more than two or three acts. I always wind up sleeping until one or two, take my time getting up/getting ready/nomming, then finally head downtown. Going to try and catch several this year.
Really looking forward to whoever Three Lobed books for theirs. They always have incredible lineups.

Last years was pretty intense adds. Killer Mike (due to Death Grips cancellation),Trash Talk, and Six Organs Of Admittance. All were outta the blue. I wouldn't even try and guess.
Probably more ticketing info. I still think its crazy they rescheduled for the night that Sigor Ros plays. Even free, that's a lot of people that will miss him.
I'm sure it was the only night they could get him and that they were well aware Sigur Ros was playing. He'll still have a big crowd. Weird venue, though.
