I'll try to dummy down my excitement. That lineup is just stacked from top to bottom. I noticed on Jenks bandcamp page a few weeks ago that he was listed for Friday (Mount Moriah) and Saturday. Then it disappeared. I now know why.
That also kills my MM/Sunns conflict.

Magik Markers are better when they're doing improv anyway. The most frustrating thing about the Three Lobed party is that it would have solved my hypothetical Charalambides/Sleep conflict.
Killer lineup, but somewhat perturbed they're having it two miles from where the rest of the action is. Though, upon looking at the Saturday day party schedule a little more, this is where I'll likely be. Most of what I want to see downtown are local bands who I've either already seen or can see any other time. Also just realized the venue this will be at and I've been dying to see some music there (they never have any.) Also, it's about a mile from my house, so if I need to take a corn break, it'll be really convenient.
Probably most excited about Valient Thorr and Pontiak at CAM. Caught Valient Thorr for the first time last month and they were incredible. Easily the most fun I've had at a show all year.

Thanks. This makes up for never winning anything at any of the raffles at the fall festival at my elementary school.
Also, here's a pic of the amphitheatre where that day party's going down. They used to have music there back in the 70's and 80's, but stopped because the neighbors complained about the crowds, I believe. My mom has told me this story about how her and my dad were at some concert there and he went to pee on the side of one of the houses near it. A cop wound up shining his flashlight on him and my dad ran back over a mile to his place (I don't believe he was chased.)
That venue looks incredible. I'm guessing they have an indoor space if it rains?
I'm also expecting Purling Hiss to be the "Special Guests TBA". May be more of a want than actuality though.
There's an indoor theater in the same park. And a rose garden, where my parents got married (it's behind the stage in the picture.) Fun fact: used to be the NC State Fair Grounds long ago. The reason the park is oval-shaped is because they used to have horse races there.
