So excited that this happened, it's perfect for me because I never got myself familiar with Jim James or Wilco, so now the Wu is basically not conflicted for me, though I may leave slightly early to make sure I catch the beginning of Paul because he has been opening with my favorite Beatles song. Today has only just begun and it's already looking great!

You might not even have to leave early. Even though they're billed for 90 minutes, I bet they only play 75 or so.
true, especially considering that a few of them will probably be doing the jam only a few hours later. I hope you're right!
I had already come to grips with missing the wu tang clan to see zz top! Now this shizz! wilco and great spot for macca or wu tang and a crappy spot for macca. Now I have to ponder my schedule more. Any chance we can hear the wu tang set from the what field?

Doubt it. If anything you'd hear setbreak music from the main stage speakers.
I saw recent footage of a wu tang concert and was very very VERY disappointed. disappointed in the performance and also at one point I guess a little water got tossed on stage and one of em said something rude and dumb about it.
All in all rap concerts are hard to bare for a whole set unless you right up front.. I saw public enemy and that was great but still got alittle anxious at moments

Care to elaborate? I'm torn on what to do with this and Wilco, so any information would be greatly appreciated.

Watch the footage yourself before you decide, Black Dynamite. I personally loved their Coach set.
Frank Dux, was it a handfull of water, or a water bottle? If a water bottle was thrown, the person who did should absolutely be called out for assish behavior. It's not as though Method Man could hop off the stage, discreetly sneak into the audience, pull the person aside and give them a warning.
(1) Damon Albarn (2) Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds (3) King Khan & His Shrines (4) Ty Segall (5) Ms Lauryn Hill (6) Darkside (7) Kanye (8) Janelle Monae (9) Goat (10) Meshuggah.

haha I think it was just someone throwing water while the music was going like people do9 in a cool way) he didn't want to get splashed.. I just didn't like how he said it

Black Dynamite I'll say that I watched their coach set last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Also, I got to see them live 2 years ago and it was by far the best 'rap show' I've ever seen. A ton of fun for sure.

Fucck it, i'm in and will not be waiting all day for a spot for McCartney. This looked epic and I have to see it.
45 mins of Wilco > 45 mins of Wu will probably get me a decent spot for Paul.
As cool as the Hip Hop Superjam sounds (and it does sound awesome! I will be there)I'm kinda bummed that Wu-Tang is no longer a late night set and is replaced by The xx

I'm guessing the XX has a better stage setup for late night. While Wu would be awesome, it probably doesn't need a late night set and will be fine during the day. I can't imagine them having any crazy light show or lasers or anything. Also, I just looked up "the xx Live" on youtube and found the video below, which looks like it's going to be a ton of fun and will use the late night more to it's advantage:
I'm disappointed i'll be missing the Wu set (going Wilco --> Jim James) but the Superjam will be magnificent.
Still torn may have to wait till the last second. I think i just may leave wilco early to catch this. I saw beasties Bruce and phish from the back of what field and it wasn't so bad how bad could Paul be from there.

the what stage is one of my favorite stages at any festival. really great sound and clear views of the screens from just about anywhere. I don't worry too much about posting up to get a good spot.

I love it after like 6 p.m. During the day it can be brutal if the sun is beating down. But it's still a great time. I absolutely love headliner sets in the field though. I've only been in the pit for one or two headliner sets but all the ones I've seen have been great no matter where i've been.
Really wished they didn't switch with The XX on there LN slot. I want a good spot for PL and would have been very happy to see Wu and ensure a good spot. Not a fan of The XX, but I will still sit through most I suppose to still ensure a good spot. Who knows, maybe I will enjoy them live.
In a weekend full of awesome hip-hope performances, Wu-Tang stole the fucking show. The only way to describe the moment the Clan took the stage was an AMBUSH. They RAN on the stage EARLY, poppin' bottles and attacking from all directions. It was a moment I'll never forget. While everyone thought they'd go on late, the Clan were Witty and Unpredictable, typical WU style. What a show.

I thought the Wu set was decent. I was in the middle left of the which stage and the sound was way too bassy to the point where you couldn't hear the beats. Good song selection, but IMO the best hip-hop performance was the Superjam.

Has it been brought up that Rae was missing? Was a lil upset about that. I had a ball at this show. Sound was fine from where I was and the crowd was crazy.
