Empire of the Sun? I'd love to see them LN, their live shows look good. The only connection is the word "son" to "sun" and I'm just really hopeful. Edward Sharpe? "Messiah figure," not familiar with the story of the albums, maybe someone else can elaborate if the clues fit.
Seriously HATE Roo Clues so freaking much! The are so vague that they can always point towards a handful of artist. They are almost impossible to pinpoint to one correct artist and KNOW that you've gotten it right.
"Rising son of man" - artist on the rise, he's also from New Orleans (house of the rising sun, etc)
"The future was less certain" - Odd future, too easy almost....
"Human contact is gone" - referencing his "coming out letter" in which he states "Whoever you are. Wherever you are… I’m starting to think we’re a lot alike. Human beings spinning on blackness. All wanting to be seen, touched, heard, paid attention to."

Iv'e done a lot of the recent ACE Wednesday trivias, and most of those clues seemed to play with is band member names, band's hometown, and song and albums names. So that's what I am trying to work now more so than themes.
