Ladies and gentlemen:
We are pleased to confirm our understanding of the engagement we are to provide to Snowman and Inforoo for the Bonnaroo beginning June 13, 2019 and ending June 16, 2019 (Bonnaroo 2019).
We will attend Bonnaroo 2019, so long as it comprises the headlining set(s) featuring Phish. We will endeavor to attend other headlining sets so long as the headliners therein are good, and the related afternoon sets, early evening sets, and late night sets featuring various other acts to the extent that we consider those acts good for the period then ended, and the related Centeroo and/or campground activities, and we will provide an opinion on Bonnaroo 2019 in relation to the festival experience as a whole in a separate written report to be published following the end of our engagement.
Objective
The objective of our attendance is the expression of an opinion about whether Bonnaroo 2019 was fairly presented, in all material respects, in conformity with Inforoo generally accepted festival principles. Our attendance will be conducted in accordance with festival behavior standards generally accepted at Inforoo and will include tests of Bonnaroo 2019’s logistics, scheduling, overall show and act quality, and other procedures we consider necessary to enable us to express such an opinion. We will issue a written report upon completion of our attendance of Bonnaroo 2019. Our report will be addressed to Inforoo and the Internet as a whole. We cannot provide assurance that an unmodified opinion will be expressed. Circumstances may arise in which it is necessary for us to modify our opinion or add an emphasis-of-matter or other-matter paragraph. If our opinion is other than unmodified, we will discuss the reasons with the Inforoo community. If, for any reason, we are unable to complete the report or are unable to form or have not formed an opinion, we may decline to express an opinion.
Audit Procedures
Our procedures will include the seven hour drive to Manchester, TN, tests of the various food options available in Centeroo, and direct confirmation of the quality of certain acts, both musical and comedic, by attendance at selected acts, as we deem them to be worth our time. We will also request written representations from other Bonnaroo 2019 attendees as part of the engagement. At the conclusion of our engagement, we will require certain written representations from you about the shows attended and related matters.
Festival attendance includes examining, on a test basis, evidence supporting the quality of individual shows and overall festival experience; therefore, our engagement will involve judgment about the number of sets to be attended and the areas of Centeroo to be tested. Festival attendance also includes evaluating the appropriateness of acts selected to perform at Bonnaroo 2019 and the reasonableness of scheduling decisions made by management, as well as evaluating the overall presentation of the festival. We will plan and perform our engagement to obtain reasonable assurance about whether the festival is free of material misstatement, whether from (1) booking of shitty stream-driven acts we’ve never heard of, (2) shitty late night selections, (3) shitty scheduling as a whole, or (4) too many cops ruining the vibez that are attributable to the Coffee County or to acts by management or volunteers acting on behalf of the Company who don’t know what the fuck they are doing.
Because of the inherent limitations of festival attendance, combined with the inherent limitations of human physical endurance, and because we will not perform a detailed examination of all sets, there is a risk that material misstatements may exist and not be detected by us, even though the engagement is properly planned and performed in accordance with Inforoo generally accepted festival standards. In addition, our engagement is not designed to detect immaterial misstatements or violations of laws or governmental regulations that do not have a direct and material effect on the overall quality of the festival. However, we will inform the appropriate level of management of any shitty shows, stupid scheduling decisions, or other errors that comes to our attention. We will also inform the appropriate level of management of any violations of good musical taste that come to our attention, unless clearly inconsequential or unless Post Malone because even if he isn't that good he still has some bangers that you can't deny. Our responsibility as festival attendees is limited to the period covered by our engagement and does not extend to any future Bonnaroos for which we are not engaged.
Our engagement will include obtaining an understanding of the Phish set(s) and its environment sufficient to assess the risks of material misstatement of the Phish set(s) and to design the nature, timing, and extent of further festival procedures. Our engagement is not designed to provide assurance that Phish headlining sets will be good or enjoyable to those not already familiar with Phish. Accordingly, we will express no such prediction. However, at the conclusion of our engagement we will publish a detailed review of the Phish set, including references to past Phish experiences and Phish history, that some of you may read but many may simply scroll past because you don't care.
Other Services
We will follow trantsgiving around the festival and teach him about Phish before, after, and during the Phish set(s), including making him watch various Phish youtube videos on a small cell phone screen during other sets or downtime, preventing him from spending time with his friends or fully enjoying non-Phish acts, and consistently bogarting his attention with Phish factoids he neither is interested in nor will retain. We will perform these services in accordance with applicable Obsessive Phish Phan standards, including the standards of the Helping Friendly Book, and we may request snowman provide assistance with these services.
Snowman Responsibilities
You are responsible for attending Bonnaroo 2019, so long as it comprises the headling set(s) featuring Phish, obtaining the necessary plane tickets, gasoline, lodging, and cash for food and other supplies relevant to festival attendance; monitoring ongoing activities; for the selection and application of festival attendance principles; and for the fair presentation of your festival experience in conformity with Inforoo generally accepted festival principles to be shared with Inforoo and the Internet as a whole at the conclusion of the engagement. You are also responsible for reviewing the schedule, once published, and making decisions as to which shows to attend. You are also responsible for providing us with (1) access to all information of which you are aware that is relevant to your Bonnaroo 2019 attendance, (2) additional information that we may request for the purpose of the engagement, and (3) unrestricted access to persons within Inforoo from whom we determine it necessary to obtain engagement evidence.
We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you and believe this letter accurately summarizes the significant terms of our engagement. If you have any questions, please let us know. Hahahaha The back story was that Phi was in town to shoot photography @ Voodoo fest ‘15 and had some comp tickets to Bob Moses at Hi-Ho Lounge a night or two before Voodoo that he said he would give to the first person who responded. That happened to be me. So me and my middle kid went there, met him (a fine upstanding gentleman to be sure) and watched a pretty chilled but kind of badass show.
