i got my email yesterday, got it all faxed in and signed and spiffed up and am now ready to go... don't worry... it'll all work out.
All worked out, sent me the waiver via E-Mail and I had to fax it. It's a bitch not having a UPS store in this small ass town but thank god I have a friend whose mom works at State Farm!

I got this as well... I think all the volunteers got one. I'm going to fill it out, but it asks what Bonnaroo team you're on. I dont think anyone knows this info yet. so i dont know how it can be completed correctly.

Dude, I seriously can't concentrate on anything but bonnaroo right now. . .It's to the point where I'm poking myself in the eye with foreign objects. . . I think I just need to be sedated until Tuesday. . . . Dystopian Dream
I talked to one of the volunteers from last year and he said he left his car in volunteer camping, and put his stuff on a cart and went to Tent Only. So, I guess this is a viable option. I'm not sure if the pros even outweigh the cons in Tent Only for me to go there though.
yeah, i'll probably stay in volunteer as well...we'll be getting to know each other on tuesday and wednesday, so i'll probably have met some new friends and will want to stay there
I'm getting antsy for info, guys! How long are they going to make us wait for details? We'll be there in 10 days! I can't wait! Details would make me feel better.
Im surprised that this week came and went without more details such as an arrival time. I kinda think its a little rude of them. . .i dont know what to tell my work if ill be there next monday or not and I also want to just finalize my plans of when I'm gonna drive down and such. I really hope they get on this soon.

Details are probably coming soon. This is kind of typical of the volunteer folks...one of my biggest complaints is that the people who are in charge of volunteers aren't very organized and there isn't a lot of communication.
You've gotta be flexible. If you are, it will be fine.
^^i agree...they have my money and my waiver, so i like to think that they wont screw me out of $260...just making the final purchases on my bonnaroo pile! 10 more days!! i'm probably checking in around noon...what time is everyone else planning on getting to the farm?

I am so excited...this year we finally got a new tent (other one was used faithfully for 7 years) and we are camping in it tonight to try it out. I wish we did know what time to be there for sure, we are planning on dropping Sasha(our pup) at the resort around 7:30am and heading on in! CANNOT WAIT!!!
^^i've heard from karen (the official volunteer lady) that check in is from 8:30 am to midnight...i'm trying out the corn i'm going to bring into the farm...it's local!
Can anyone speak on the visitor policy of volunteer camping? A good friend was just cleared hot to go to Bonnaroo, and I was hoping we could chill together. Is my set up not an option?
EDIT:
Also, what's the ice situation during our stint of pre-fest volunteering? Will I need to bring extra ice, or just nothing that needs to be frozen or cold for the first few days? I plan on bringing sliced turkey for sandwiches, and would like for them to stay eatable throughout my stay...

In response to the ice question, I would e-mail Karen directly for an answer. DO NOT consider taking the shuttle to Wal-Mart as an option. It's about 3/4 mile walk from the Volunteer Campground to get on the shuttle and it can be a bitch shoehorning yourself and a couple of bags of ice on the shuttle to ride back. The ice will be half-melted by the time you return to camp. I learned my lesson about going to Wal-Mart for supplies last year and will not even attempt it this year. Too much hassle.....

i've got a case of yuengling, a case of busch light, and a box of red wine (shiraz)...start out with a couple of glasses of wine each night and then switch to beer...i think i'm going to get some whiskey too, proabably for friday night late night
Yeah. I had already sent my money in for volunteering when we found out I was having a baby. The family tried talking me out of it but I think it's going to be an experience.
