Vols Bonnaroo Work Exchange Team Deposit Update: We have moved the date to run the deposits to Wednesday, May 5th (12pm EST). Those selected to work Pre-Fest will be notified today (Monday, May 3rd). For those that were unable to submit a deposit, please log into your WET account now and submit one as overt 100 spots have opened up today.
I was accepted about a week and a half ago they told me in the aceptance that I would be doing what I applied for which was Clean Vibes. We have to be there Wed between 12 -4.But if you go to the Bonaroo website and click quest and ans for volunteering it will exsplain the jobs and times to be there.I just wonder if the gate people have a list of names for the vollys.I know right now Volunteer jobs are filled up, but you will be put on a waiting list if you haven't been approved by now. and still get a chance due to cancelations and so forth.Hope this helped someone in someway.Much Love~V~
Ok....six days ago I canceled my deposit. I received an email confirming this. I also canceled my husbands because my sister and our friend didn't get accepted. I canceled my husbands too.
Yesterday my husband got a wait list email and I got a pre -fest acceptance email saying that they were running my deposit tomorrow. The one I canceled.
what a mess. some people who've been doing prefest for 2-3 years didn't get accepted. i'm sorry to all those who didn't get what they were looking for.
Question: I got prefest, but the person I'm carpooling in with is a regular volunteer. Anybody know how that's gonna work out? Can she get on the grounds when I do?

Not likely. If WET restricts access like last year, only you and your vehicle (if you request a parking pass) will be allowed to get in on Sunday. It's worth e-mailing WET to see what they say.

They specifically say no to this in the rules and regulations. I would definately get a solid answer on this. Don't just hope for the best and go. You don't want your friend sleeping in a car for three days. I say this because most of the hotel and motel rooms are occupied with paid staff that have been on site for about a week by the time you get there.

Really? Do you mind pointing me to where it says this, because all I can find is this: "Regular festival attendees may NOT enter the festival grounds prior to the official opening of the gates to patrons, even if accompanied by a working WET member. If you are scheduled for a pre festival shift, please be sure to make travel arrangements with other WET members, as your Non-WET friends will not be allowed to enter the festival grounds until gates open to the public."
My friend is still going to be a WET volunteer, just not pre-fest.
We've been emailing the WET people every other day, but haven't gotten any reply, so any info/help from inforooers is much appreciated.
Okay, now I'm worried. I've had my credit card info on file with them forever and the charge isn't showing up, nor have I gotten an e-mail saying that I was charged. wtf? I'm more than a little concerned at this point. The festival is only a month away and I have no idea if I'm going or not. This is really f'd up. Not happy. :-(
klr- Worst case scenario... they don't allow your friend in... bring an extra tent and pitch it somewhere (Walmart parking lot is a possible option.) At least have a back-up plan if you can't get an answer.

I too have received a confirmation email / receipt without any activity on my account-- I'm guessing that the charge just hasn't been processed.
Anyone going to be driving through northern VA (I-95) on their way to Bonnaroo? I may be looking for a ride and I'm happy to give up some cash to help with gas!
Wow- awesome. I'm so impressed with WET so far... there was an error with my deposit. They wait until today to send me an e-mail. Says my account is closed or I have insufficient funds. Not so. The link in the e-mail they sent me is broken, so I have no way to resubmit my deposit. I sent them an e-mail, but judging from the posts of others I may not get a response before the Wednesday deadline to resubmit my deposit.
I guess I may not be going to Bonnaroo afterall. :-( grrrrrr..... I guess I can always put myself on the schedule to work. Or buy a ticket and go that way.
After several e-mails, a server error and stupid responses (make sure you are logged in... and... you never gave us a deposit) my deposit seems to have been charged to my account. I guess I'm going to Bonnaroo after all.
Does anyone have any idea of when they are volunteering? I received a email saying I wasn't doing the pre fest and they did take my deposit but they haven't actually told me when exactly I had to be there or what I was doing.
Pre-fest is sorted! It must be a serious mess in the offices, because it took them forever to get back to us, but the WET people were really nice once they did. If you have a legitimate reason to need pre-fest, the woman my friend and I talked to said they had a few spots still, so it might be worth it to email and explain your situation. Just don't expect a response for a week or so.
Received an e-mail update from WET yesterday that detailed check in times and the WET guidelines. It says Pre-Fest vols will get another e-mail next week on how to check in. Hopefully this will include a map so we'll know where Volunteer camping will be this year.
Interesting that During-Fest vol check-in will be on-site this year at one of the PODs.....
This is my first Bonnaroo, and I am volunteering during the festival. My boyfriend is coming with me, and he is not a volunteer. I know we cannot both stay together in the volunteer camping grounds, but I am starting to get concerned about our arrival. Will he be allowed to enter with me by 4pm Wednesday? Is Bonnaroo open then? Thanks so much for your help.

He probably won't be able to enter by then. From all accounts on here, they let people in at night or when it starts getting rowdy at Wally World. And if he is not a volunteer, he won't be able to come in with you. But drop him off at the infamous Walmart. He can get a ride in from there when they do open it up that night. Then text each other to meet up.
Thanks so much! He's the driver ( I drive a Mini Cooper, and he has a truck. cuteness<space) I guess he can just drop me off and he can chill at Walmart. We're planning on leaving Tuesday, so I guess we can find the Walmart and plan accordingly.
The Walmart won't be hard to find. Just find the sinkhole He can drop you off and then park it at Wally World. Just tell him to be careful and avoid the sketch.
