Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
So, has everyone gotten the email from WET letting them know where they're working or is it just the people that applied for the "special shifts"? I haven't gotten anymore emails since I put my deposit down
Last year, we checked in at Coffee County Central HS, I think it was... lots of people hangin around cause they seemed to not let anyone on the Roo grounds until 2pm, from what I remember. There were 2 different entrances for volunteers based on if they were tollbooth or not. non-tollboothers seemed to get in pretty easily. Tollboothers had about an hour wait or so in the line to get our cars searched and whatnot. Car camping just like regular patrons and was cool to see the farm so bare and all that green grass. Saw the ferris wheel get set up, got to walk around Centeroo, etc. Some volunteers even got a ride on the water slide for free to test it out. I loved seeing the change from that to when the public first arrived Wednesday night. I believe Tues night we also had a bbq they held for us and were supposed to update us on stuff but i dont remember that happening. there was food but i think i remember limited food choices (I cant eat pork which made it difficult and then i know someone vegan/vegetarian had complaints). Hopefully that issue, if they do the bbq again, will be better.

Question: Is there anyone here in this WET thread from Alabama? If you are from Alabama, OR have Alabama connections please get in touch with me for a story I am working on. Thank you very much, in advance. ~JG jmgriffies blankblankgmail remove the blankblank
REMINDER: 2 days away from deposit refund. On/after the 30th means no more refund and locked in.
If anyone from the DC area needs a ride situation figured out for either prefest or regular Tues check-in, shoot me a message and I'll add you to my event page.
For everyone else, if you're staying at a hotel Monday night or anything, this is a good time to start looking into that. most places have advance purchase rates we can take advantage of.
Do ALL volunteers have to arrive by June 5th? Even post-festival? That's what the WET website implies but I need to be 100% certain.
Aside from WET's site not really specifically mentioning post-fest as far as I can see, there's bonnaroo's info: www.bonnaroo.com/get-involved/volunteers/ I'm assuming it's up to you to check-in early or arrive as a regular patron but you must be able to move camps and check-in on time whenever that is *shrug* Email wet@workexchangeteam.com for a better answer. I could be wrong. Shouldnt be any earlier than Tuesday though.

I just got my deposit in. I had to wait forever to get it in, cause I didn't start my job until 3.5 weeks ago and had to save up for it as I was unemployed for a couple months. I applied for pre-fest and post-fest. The department I picked, I probably won't get as there's only a few people that do the job... However, I'd be ok with the shift I had last year again. That would be wonderful! Since I put my deposit down on Thursday, should I be expecting an e-mail sometime this week most likely about what shift I received?
Howdy Volunteer thread! My names Jason and wanted to say hi. I'm a 2 time returning volunteer (this will be my 3rd time and 6th Roo)
I've read most of the thread and understand that most of this is general question stuff. I already posted in the rideshare forum, but I an bad need of a ride.
I have to arrive on Tuesday like most tollbooth and general volunteers. I am coming from Long Island/NYC.
I would only need a ride down since I have friends coming later who are not volunteering and will be returning with them. Sooo if any of you guys are coming from up here and have a spot pleeeease let me know. I'll have cash for gas and food. I also have tons of highway driving experience if you feel cool with sharing the driving.
Anyway nice to meet you guys and excitied to get my volunteer on with all of you!
Pre fest is full, by the way. Not sure if that's been mentioned yet. jac, if worse comes to worse, you may be able to join our caravan if you can get down to dc/northern va by Monday morning. Try the WET forum 1st though on WETs site. Pretty sure you can find others up there

Thats a very kind offer and actually a possibility. How early is the caravan leaving from DC? I actually have posted over at WET and have been checking zimride and such. Figured there are some dedicated people here also so.
Certainly fill me in on the DC caravan. A 5 hour bus ride to DC then a comfy ride with company is preferable to a 24 hour bus ride to the farm.

Hoping to get my e-mail soon stating what I'll be doing... would be nice.. but I think last year, I didn't know until I got there and my shifts were terrible, but found someone pretty quick that wanted to trade with me.

I'm assuming that since they are already picked pre-fest, mid-fest and tollbooth positions, and that I haven't received confirmation yet... that I'm working post-fest?? I did state I could work it..
You should probably check in when they tell you. First, they are planning on giving you your volunteer bracelet on Tuesday and not on Wednesday. Who knows if they will even have it laying around on Wednesday. Second, you run the risk of missing orientation and not getting your deposit back.
I would try to find a rideshare or at the very least attempt to coordinate/communicate with WET so they are aware of your situation.

I was given mid-fest shifts last year and checked in on Wednesday... However, I traded my shifts with someone for a sunday/monday shift... so I guess it just depends on what they say in the e-mail when they send it out with all the info and stuff..

Hey guys! Quick question from a first-time volunteer:
I applied to work the festival on april 22nd, saw that my application was accepted on the WET dashboard, so I then paid my deposit. The application fee and the deposit fee was taken out of my account on the 23rd and 24th, respectively.
I'm concerned because I haven't received any e-mail correspondence from WET, not even an e-mail that my application was accepted. (I found out through the My Events tab.)
Is this common for late appliers, or should I be concerned?

Did you check your spam? I applied right around the same time as you, and I received my acceptance letter in my e-mail on April 24th... I put my deposit down on May 4th.
