I was checking out the schedule and a lot of the performers I wanted to see all seem to be on at the same time. Ugh! So, once our schedules come out and if anyone else assigned to During-Show Artist Hospitality and Logistics needs to swap, hit me up. I'll likely be able to accommodate unless it occurs during one of the cluster of performances that I'll be hopping back and forth to
Hey everybody! My name is Brandon, Im going to bonnaroo/volunteering for my first time! Ive been to other festivals before (had awesome times at lolla and coachella) and last minute decided why not go for bonnaroo too... I'm headed out by myself but cant wait! I currently am finishing up college at the university of vermont and then wil be living in Buffalo NY (if anyone wants to carpool). I'm working DURING SHOW at PARKING, so if you are too, hit me up.
I volunteered through WET the last two years and we got our wristbands when we checked in, I'm assuming its going to be the same deal.
Have they been marked as volunteer or are they simply general admission?
Wristbands will say "Volunteer" on them
There are really all kinds of wristbands and colors. Since GA is orange, I'm guessing we will have a different color. This pic is what last year's wristbands looked like.

Every time I've volunteered at fests the volunteers have different color wristbands...they still work to get into Centeroo just like GA, but the different color helps them know to let you have free showers and other volunteer perks like that.
Hi Everybody! I got accepted to volunteer during show on the Festival Activities C'roo. I was on Zimride and Ellie found me and pointed me to the ever-growing database of volunteers over here! I live in Boston so that's where I need to find a ride from/passing through. Can't wait to volunteer with all y'all

Welcome!
I went ahead and sent you a PM on here for the other details I'd need. I've put your info in the google doc and the map (goo.gl/maps/bgJnc) from what I've seen.
There are at least 3 of you near Boston that are during-show...
I just got informed someone from Springfield, MA had to back out yesterday cause she couldn't find a ride and didn't have the money for flights and car rental and whatnot. PLEASE do a good deed and help your neighbors out!! I don't want to see this happen when there are people not too far away! It's 1 of the main reasons we made up these google docs and the map!!
Also, are people wanting a Facebook group made? I've had a few people ask the past few weeks... I don't want confusion/overlap or neglecting of people who don't really prefer Facebook, but it could be nice to put a face to the name and easier to encourage people to join us from the Bonnaroo Facebook page and stuff (I've tried to go on the Bonnaroo Facebook page and Zimride to get us all together as much as possible as it is, but not everyone is joining us). Personally, I like Facebook and have been trying to friend as many of you that have shared your Facebook urls, so I could probably start something if it's worth it...
I think a facebook group would be a great idea!! We should keep communication going on here, in case someone doesnt want to use facebook, though...I think I forgot to give my FB URL for the google doc, too. Here it is: www.facebook.com/ashley.weller

Does anyone know when/if we get wristbands in the mail? To be honest, I hope we get them before so I can connect it with my Facebook and the like. Keeps my friends jealous without having to ever use my phone.

I guess you could call or email to check about that..personally I like getting my wristband when I check in because they put it on you and it means you can't lose it!..I agree though I'm getting pretty jelly seeing all these people with their wristbands coming in.

Yeah I see what you mean! I just like that it made a little status whenever I checked in for a show; it drove my friends crazy but also convinced two of them to come along this year. I'm sure I'll figure out how to connect the two whenever I get it.

Oh wow, I didn't know the wristband did that stuff, I'm more jelly now!..thats some high-tech shiz, you may as well be the guy from Futurama right now saying "welcome, to the world of tomorrrroowwwwwwww!"
We get our wristbands at check in, but you can still register them to Facebook after that. I definitely linked mine to Facebook after check-in on Tuesday.
So...we're getting closer to Roo and I realize people are looking for rides. This made me come up with an idea after playing around with Google Maps...
If people are looking for rides, I can make them a different color on the Google Map. If people tell me they have room for extra passengers, I can change the color of their icon as well. I think this may help people see if they can find/give a ride near them. I feel bad people telling me theyre looking for a ride or something but not logging it anywhere.
I assume this would interest people?
[EDIT:]
I've gone ahead and changed colors for those that are pre-show, to make it a little easier since those people need to check-in on Sunday instead of Tuesday. I'll probably make those needing a ride a red without a dot or something
My names Zak - I'm flying from Australia to the states and was thinking about volunteering at the festival, which would require arriving on Tuesday. Unfortunately, it's a little difficult/expensive to get to the farm from Nashville, so I was wondering if I'd be able to get a lift with anyone? Alternatively, if anyone has any good ideas as to how to get there that would be absolutely amazing
Thanks guys! Really looking forward to it
Another person also in here and posted on the Facebook group needs a ride from Nashville airport too. Daniel Henry is prefester looking for a ride on Sunday
That would be incredible if i could get a lift with somebody! I fly into Nashville 11pm Monday night and am staying at a hotel near the airport, so anytime Tuesday would be fantastic I'd be more than happy to help out with fuel costs as well!
Also, thank you so much for sharing this post Ellie
Hmmm I think I may have worked out a way to get there via the Greyhound bus from Nashville to Manchester, and i'd be able to walk the rest of the way!
Unortunately i've hit a bit of a roadblock - I went to create an account for Clean Vibes, and that requires an American zipcode/phone number. Does this mean I won't be able to work at the festival? My friend offered to let me use their zipcode/phone details, but I'm worried that i'll turn up ready to work only to be turned away when I show an Australian passport.
Does anyone know if its possible for someone from overseas to volunteer at the festival? I'd absolutely love to have the opportunity to. And thank you everyone for helping out too, it means a lot and i'm really grateful

Aussies are pretty much accepted, it's the Canadians we all worry about, . I'd email them just to let them know. I believe you'll be fine.
For during fest volunteers, I'm more than willing to pick anyone up from Nashville that needs the right. My check-in will be on Tuesday at noon.
Ahhh!! Would I be able to get a lift with you?? I was thinking about the Greyhound Bus but i'm slightly worried about trying to do that on my own, especially so early in the morning - i'd be more than happy to chip in for fuel and the like! I fly in on Monday night and will be staying somewhere in Nashville, i'm not quite sure where yet

Yeah, absolutely! I'm about 3 hours away so I'll be leaving my house around 8 and I would get to Nashville around 10 (time change) and then I could meet you somewhere and head down to the farm between 11-12. Do I have any way of contacting you once I get in town?
Hello! I'm volunteering at Bonnaroo, but realized a bit late that I can't ride with my friends who had purchased tickets because they can't check in until after I do. So if you're going to be driving through Bloomington on your way to Bonnaroo on June 11th and wouldn't mind helping out a fellow volunteer, please let me know! Thanks, Aaron

I should be getting a T-Mobile sim card just before I leave for the states, so hopefully that will work! I'll also have facebook, and I'll message you through that on the Monday night if there's a problem with the phone 10 sounds like a brilliant time too - it'll be nice to not get up at 4 after a 24-hour flight haha, thank you so much!

Ok - question:
Do they check wristbands or something in the volunteer campground? I volunteered last year but I don't remember how it worked ... The reason I ask is because I am volunteering with a friend, but my other friend bought a GA ticket. She wants to camp with us though. I know it says on the website that only volunteers are allowed to camp in the volunteer area, but she's walking (not driving) and she's not even bringing a tent. She would just be staying in our tent with us. I remember that last year we had some GA friends who came and hung out in the volunteer area during the day, but I don't remember how they were let in. Will my friend be allowed into the area??? Will they even know that she is camping with us? Anyone got any advice on this?
