Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Does anyone know when clean vibes people get their wristbands? I'm doing post show clean up.
hmm. Not sure how that works.with post show. Give them an email or call. Maybe you pick it up off site before getting in line and that's sorta your check in too? I dont know
Alright, guys. Keep tabs on your Messages tab in case people contact you for rideshares and stuff (and you're not on Facebook/don't have it listed on the Google Doc)
Again, I hope anyone needing a ride will let me know so I can put it on the map. I have people on the Google Map in red for those that need a ride. Help each other out!! Especially with the deadline this Friday to cancel volunteering...
Those of you looking for rides, BE PROACTIVE! Use the Google Doc and Map to see who's near you and see if they have room!! Vice versa for those wanting passengers. Also, keep an eye on Zimride.com...

My schedule has been posted and I'm in Comedy Tent. I say just go to Shiftboard and check it out to make sure.
9pm-3am on Thursday 3pm-9pm on Friday & Saturday
They have me in the Comedy Production Office. The only acts I'm really bummed about missing are Allen Stone & Earl Sweatshirt. I won't be able to stay for all of Local Natives set or Lumineers but hopefully since I'm working Comedy tent I'll be able to catch Ed Helms, Daniel Tosh & David Cross.
Yay for schedules! lol

goo.gl/maps/bgJnc try seeing if anyone n the map could help. Their Inforoo sn or Facebook name are on there. Turquoise pins are pre-show
I don't know what it was like general volunteer camp, but I know tollbooth/parking was never fully fenced in and never checked who came/went, really. Checking for showers and whatnot makes sense, but I imagine (and hope) they're lax about who comes/goes as long as no new cars try to park and squeeze in there where they're not allowed. If people are hanging out with volunteers, I would hope they wouldn't send them away. They just wouldnt have use of our free shower privileges and whatnot.
I would say, just to be safe, have a back-up plan, but I'm sort of doing the same thing with my friend. Hopin she parks in day parking and walks over to my tollbooth/parking camp right next to there and joins my tent. I'll shoot her a text or call Tuesday evening to confirm she can join easily once I see it's the same as the previous 2 years I volunteered (but that was with WET, so hoping Bonnaroo wont make it more strict with fencing and whatnot, but I don't think it's worth their time and extra effort)
I'm glad someone brought this up. My bf is thinking he wants to come join me. He is a musician and travels all over the world to play. He had something scheduled during the first half of Bonnaroo so we didn't think he could go. However, we just found out that it fell through and now we're trying to figure out a way for him to go. He owns no camping equipment and we don't know anyone else he could camp with so we would be hard pressed to for him to not stay with me. He won't need his car, won't have many items in tow (since I'll have all the camp stuff with me set up by the time he comes in) so we'd really like to find a way just for him to camp with me. It makes sense to me to be a little "lax" on camping. Otherwise, he would have to take up a whole camp area on his own even though it would be so easy for us to consolidate. I've already told him he couldn't use the showers and he's cool with it. We're just trying to make this as easy as possible. Hope we can get it worked out.

Hey everyone! Okay so first of all, this is my first time ever going to Bonnaroo and I am beyond excited! But I was wondering if any of you know how/if we can trade shifts? It says this on their site: "• You will have the ability to swap shifts with other volunteers on your same C’roo for the two weeks leading up to being on site as well. • Read that again…YOU WILL HAVE THE ABILITY TO SWAP SHIFTS WITH OTHER VOLUNTEERS ON YOUR SAME C’ROO! By giving you your schedules ahead of time, we hope that you’ll be able to resolve any conflicts before you get on site to check-in. Of course the other volunteer has to agree to the swap but our new system allows you to put it out there that you’re interested. If you can’t get anybody to switch with you, we can try to make a change but most likely you’ll have to work that shift." But I don't know how to go about doing that.. I'm honestly not complaining about my schedule though! I just wanted to see if there was any possible way to free up my Friday to see Paul... Any info?

Gotcha. Well, the only other thing I can think of is post on the Facebook group if you haven't already. I don't have that many prefest people on the map or Google Doc. I definitely don't have everyone on the Facebook group listed though

I assume we email them or there's a way to post on Shiftboard somehow. They haven't told us how, but all I know is both people have to agree to the shift swap. I'm sure they'll email us info after all shift schedules are out.
Speaking of which, when are we gonna get our damn schedules and orientation info already?
Check shiftboard. I never got an email or notification that my schedule was posted but I just went up and checked the other day and it was up! As far as orientation info, I have noooo idea lol
Since they havent posted everyone's schedules, they're probably slowly working on it and will email when most Croos (or maybe all) are posted online. I'm guessing parking and toll booth will be the last groups to see schedules. They said *at the latest* they'll be up by next Friday. Hold on tight...that's better than the website said, at least! (they said just 2 weeks in advance) And thank goodness we get our schedules beforehand this time! We got them at check-in previous years!
Also, another reminder that today should be the last day to cancel with the $275 refund for Festival Croo's...
Speaking of which, when are we gonna get our damn schedules and orientation info already?
Didn't you get your shift schedule, Oscar?? 3-9pm Mon/Tues/Wed, right? That's what I've got written for you.
Orientation will probably be the night of or at the beginning of your 1st shift. I've never had a proper orientation really once there. As far as the online video we have to watch before Roo and answer questions about, they still gotta give us that too...
Patience. In due time, all will be revealed. You're gonna go to Bonnaroo!! for FREE (in the end)!! Be HAPPY!!

Since this is the first year that Bonnaroo is handling orientation since 2009, I'm not certain if orientation for During Fest will be given at the Volunteer BBQ like last year (has anyone seen confirmation there'll be a BBQ this year?)
Orientation was really nothing more than the coordinators confirming where to go when checking in for your shifts...
I haven't seen any info about a BBQ for this year. It'd be nice to keep at it though...but I wasnt fond of the lack of options for those that dont eat pork/vegan/etc...
If anyone sends them an email, throw that question in there! heh

It's almost here! This email is a reminder that today is the very last day to drop out and get $275 refunded. After 11:59 EST today if you have to drop out you will forfeit your entire deposit.
Over the next few weeks we'll be sending out a series of emails to help you get ready to arrive on site. Here's what we'll be covering:
- Schedules- How to read them, how to swap shifts, etc. - Training- Yes we're still doing video training - Packing/Camping Prep- What to bring, what not to bring - Arrival Instructions- Where to go to check-in to the festival, what will happen there, where to go from there - Working Shifts- how to check-in, how to check-out, what's expected of you
We as a staff leave for the site in a couple of weeks to get it ready for your arrival! Can't wait to see you there!
James, Grace, Ruthie, and Kathleen (yeah...we keep adding new people)

During show volunteers also got this in the email:
As During-Show volunteers, you may have been noticing some of the schedules showing up on your accounts. Or you may not have a schedule yet. We're still very much working on them. To be 100% transparent, we're discovering that we're still overstaffed on several C'roos and are asking that if you're willing to switch to Tollbooths or Parking, it would really help us out. Remember that Parking volunteers are done by Friday and so are the majority of Tollbooth volunteers.
I asked to be switched from Access to Parking and they changed me over right away. Anyone else know much about what parking vols do? Also when they say "finished by Friday night" do they mean by Friday night or like Friday at 12am? Basically, am I going to make it to Paul?
Got another email tonight. They managed to get enough volunteers switched to fill up parking. I wonder if that means we'll get our shifts earlier than toll booth volunteers. (though regardless it'll be soon enough since they said they'd have it done by Friday at the latest)
okay, so I am a first time volunteer for pre-show design. I am sure people have answered these questions a billion times before, but can someone answer them again for me?? I would be eternally grateful.
1) Where is volunteer camping? 2) What are some of the perks of volunteering? (Besides the free ticket) 3)if anyone has done this croo before, is it as fun as it sounds? and what exactly will we do?

Camping for Pre-Show and During-Show volunteers is in POD 1. Look at the lower right corner of this map : Bonnaroo Map It's about a 15-20 min walk from POD 1 to the Arch entrance of Centeroo.
Perks in addition to getting a free ticket....
- Opportunity to help create the Bonnaroo experience for the patrons and meets lots of folks who love music and having fun. - No traffic getting on the farm. Some patrons have to wait in line several hours to get in. - Free access to showers. - Free food at the Volunteer BBQ. Meals are also provided while you work each shift but I'm not certain if they'll be offering any to folks who work a shift 6 hours or less.
I worked for Visual Design and Decor back in 2010. We assisted with various projects all around Centeroo to decorate areas backstage and elsewhere. Back then we worked three 12 hour shifts so it was common to work on something for a hour and then be reassigned to another task. I liked having the variety of things to help with vs. doing the same thing over and over.

img194.imageshack.us/img194/4999/broo12map.jpg here's a map from last year. If you zoom to the southeast/lower right corner, you'll see near POD 1 there is a section that says volunteer camping. (Parking and toll booth volunteers will arrive on Tuesday and camp separately in the northwest corner of the map). All volunteers that aren't parking or tollbooth, I believe, park in the main volunteer camp at POD 1 (that whole area of campgrounds in the lower right area is often called BFE).
Perks aside from the eventual free ticket after refunded deposit... free showers ($7 each for regular ticket holders), boxed meals on shift, a volunteer t-shirt you wear on shift and keep after, and they will hopefully give us a few meal tokens (3 or so) to use during the fest at food vendors. I think the tokens got us food worth up to use $7-8 or something. I forget. It's nice they take care of some food, so we can bring and pay for a little less. There's also supposed to be a BBQ Tuesday evening for volunteers. I also feel like the volunteer campgrounds can be somewhat safer than other areas. Personally I think a perk is being able to come early and see the place transforming. Big green fields into seas of tents. Seeing the fountain painted, the ferris wheel go up, etc. Even heard some volunteers were able to get free rides on the big water slide before the public came.
As for design croo, I think its a lot of setup help. Painting to using a hammer and nail kinda stuff I guess. I know someone who did it in the past has suggested bringing work gloves with you. Hopefully someone else can give even more insight on this... the website says: "VISUAL DESIGN AND DÉCOR- Assists the visual design team on site with setting up and prepping different visual elements of the festival. Art, painting, carpentry, or building skills a plus. Could require heavy lifting. This is a great opportunity to help create the visual elements at Bonnaroo which are some of the most unique things about the entire event. (Only available PRE-Show)"
Good point about Volunteer Campground being safer. The pre-show volunteers get to know one another more after having worked together for multiple shifts and hanging around camp between Sunday afternoon and Tuesday afternoon when the during-show volunteers arrive. Everyone does a great job looking out for one another and helping when assistance is needed.
