Hi Guys! I'm Steph from NJ...first time volunteer on Partner Activities during show, this will be my second time at roo! Quick question...My schedule came up today on shiftboard, but all the times are in red. Is there a way to confirm them??

Thanks! Can't wait to see you all on the farm!
I have no clue, but I'm guessing it's not something we change on our end
So I *just* realized how to have anyone edit the Google Map. I think that'll make it easier on me and for you all to write your info on the map yourselves.
goo.gl/maps/nklKf T Also, if you don't get the system to the color/descriptions and whatnot, let me know and I can just put in info for you or edit your post...
EDIT: To make it easier on myself and those that like to add themselves in, I think I may try opening up the Google Doc to make those who have access to be able to edit. I'd still need to add your emails in if you don't have access yet, but it may be easier to do that. Then, I'll just clean up as I see fit. Doing the Google Doc, Google Map, and watching out on the Facebook group (along with my private caravan facebook event page) is kinda a lot. And the more we get interest on Facebook, the harder it is to keep track.
Parking people: CHECK SHIFTBOARD!! I just saw times get listed for me and my bf said the same
[EDIT:]
So the green and red is confusing me now too... Either they put the drive-in time to the farm on the wrong day or there's an extra thing in there. MyShifts doesn't show that 12-hour 4pm shift on there though... *confused*
I'm flying into BNA on the 11th (arrival ~3pm) and I was hoping to see if anyone had a spare spot in their car who was swinging by the Nashville area on their way to during-show volunteering check in! I know there's a greyhound service, but it'll get me to Manchester after check in ends, meaning at the very least setting up my pitch in the dark (this is also my first Bonnaroo and I'm going alone, so light would probably be helpful...)
If anyone has a spot (or is in the same situation and wants to split a cab I guess?) let me know, or if there's some secret to this that I haven't found yet, that'd be appreciated too!
Can't wait to see you all there (less than 3 weeks!)
Can anyone help Yulia out?? Anyone passing through Nashville Tuesday afternoon?

What's the camping situation like for the people that don't drive in? Will they still get their own spot even if they don't have a car? For those people carpooling in or picking up people along the way.

I am waiting, waiting, waiting anxiously for my schedule. I'm hoping the deadline of tomorrow that they set for themselves in the e-mail holds true. Checking Shiftboard every hour probably isn't helping. As my Grandma used to say, "A watched pot never boils".

Right there with ya. I'm been burning my key board up. I feel like an expectant father.

There should be plenty of space to camp non-driving people. Though, I assume if you're driving into your car camping spot with passengers, you guys may find it easiest to just camp next to each other in that spot.
I need to see this main volunteering camping area, lol... for the tollbooth/parking area, there was some extra room you could camp at, even after all volunteers were parked. There were still like 20 car camping spots open or something.
should be fine...find an open spot thats not in a fire lane/on a road and set up camp or just set up at the car's spot that drove you *shrug*
and yeah...that whole overstaffed prefest thing doesn't help with scheduling, I'm sure. They said parking got full so i get why we got our shifts (at least me and my bf) and then toll booth is probably last since not "full" and people moved to tolls after originally being pre-fest office admin or something
Hopefully they'll get a lot done today. (I got mine already and I *still* check mine repeatedly, heh)

Yeah, I'm kinda bummed about the overstaffing on pre and other crews. I got my application in early and my deposit to them within 30 min of receiving acceptance in the hopes of getting a better schedule. I'm thinking the switch-overs from pre/other crews to Toll Booths is going to push me into a crappier schedule since switchee's are guaranteed off by Fri night. But, that's just me being a pessimist.

I'd like to think they would still try to honor our artist request. But, I'm a little pessimistic also. My biggest fear is missing Sir Paul. The other concern I have is if they don't get enough vols for toll booths, will that make us put in extra hours? I'll not get any sleep tonight, I'll be logging into shift board all night long.

I don't know if you're on the fb page or not, but I got my shifts within the last 30 min. Wed 3pm-3am and Thurs 10pm-4am. I love my schedule! I was a pessimist for no reason

No, not on FB page (long story ). Those are great shifts you have. That's kinda what I was hoping for. I'll post mine as soon as they come in.
Hey! I got accepted as a GuRoo and I need to arrive at Roo on the 9th with the rest of the pre-show volunteers. Is anyone that has to arrive on the 9th making the trip from Florida to Roo?

Ah help! Maybe this question has been answered already, but whatever.
So I signed up to do the post-show cleaning volunteer gig. Now I can't volunteer afterwards, but I still want to go. I originally thought that meant I could just use my deposit to pay for a real ticket (I know its non-refundable, I don't want a refund), but I don't know if there's a way to do that.
So do I just go, pretending like I'm going to volunteer, and then bail? Do people do that?

This will probably make it where they won't ever let you volunteer in the future if you do bail, other than that the only thing I can think of is you won't get your refund (which like you said in your case is ok).

Aren't they sending out wristbands to post-show volunteers? If so, there's not anything they can do to stop you from leaving before your shift. The one thing is they would most likely keep record of your failure to report and that could impact your chance to volunteer again. They would appreciate knowing that one of the volunteer slots will now be open. I recommend e-mailing to give them a heads up....
Is anyone here named Stephen on Google and commented on the Google Map I made back in April? I have no way to click on their name and email them or know who they are on here or Facebook... I realized a month later that there were comments and tried to comment there too once I saw it, but no reply...
Also regarding the previous post, I would maybe consider emailing Clean Vibes vs the general festival volunteer email. They will probably no longer allow refunds but you could explain your situation and maybe avoid the negative repercussions for future volunteering? I dunno... Also, there are lots of post show spots available, so I wouldnt really see the whole "one of the volunteer slots will now be open" thing a benefit. They need more post-show volunteers (over 200 spots available I think)

Wow.
Didn't know there were so many unfilled slots for post-show. I've heard it's tough work....

I would first read through this entire thread to see if anyone had a similar case as you and/or wait for someone to post who has actually had this happen. Its nice to give a heads up to the volunteer coordinators that you can't make it, but I don't think its a guarantee that they will still send you the wristband...and they might just make you eat your deposit. I would at least wait until you have your wristband before you let them know you won't be volunteering.
Also - to any pre-fest volunteers - if there are people on the farm offering you moonshine claiming that they have been there for weeks already setting up, drink the moonshine. Its not poison.
I would be afraid of them deactivating your wristband. Not sure if this is something they can actually do or not but just a thought...

That crossed my mind too when I recommended e-mailing the coordinators about the situation but that would be such a crappy thing to do to someone who was being forthright about his/her availability. If that did happen, I'm sure they would catch so much flak on this thread & the facebook group to where folks may opt to not volunteer again.
