Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Did any of you do any trading? I wanted to because for the 4th time of volunteering I have to miss inforoo brunch yet again.
I didn't do any trading. It's my 1st year at Bonnaroo and honestly, I feel a bit guilty about the shifts I got. Wed 3p-3a & Thurs 10p-4a IMO, they're primo because I won't be in the blazing sun and won't miss anything Fri-Sun. I'll even get to hit twenty one pilots and JD McPherson before working Thurs night. Sorry that you'll miss brunch.

Was wondering if anyone could still help me. I went to the Clean Vibes page for Bonnaroo and there it said they still had spots open, but when I click on the link, all the spots are either FULL or CLOSED. The ones that are closed, does anyone know if there is any chance of still helping? I tried calling the number given, left a voicemail, and tried emailing them also. Didn't know if anyone knew a more direct line I could call. If I can't volunteer, I'll just have to buy a ticket, but I know there are not many left. I need help ASAP.
Just touched down in Nashville. Have nowhere to stay tonight my plan is just to fall asleep in the Nashville airport, but if anyone has a bed or floor I could crash on in town, lemme know! Would greatly appreciate it and I could throw you a couple bucks if need be.

Same to you Ellie, as the rest of you all. Folks, make sure you stay hydrated. I'll at the farm in 6 hours. Of course this will be after a quick carb throw-down at Waffle House. Be safe my friends!

I've never been to bonnaroo and have always dreamed of going, but without the money I've decided I'm going to try to volunteer this year. Does anyone know about when the volunteering applications for 2014 become available and how likely it is to get in? (preferably the pre-show).

Unless you've bailed on volunteering jobs in the past maybe, everyone pretty much gets a spot until spaces fill up.
Apps usually come out sometime in January, if I remember correctly. If you want pre-show, definitely get everything in early. Apply, and send in deposit asap once possible. I'm sure we'll update in here and the Facebook group once apps open and whatnot. (https://www.facebook.com/groups/581925741840980/)
So I am considering volunteering this year (2014). It will be my 2nd time at roo and my 1st time volunteering at any festival. I read through a good portion of this thread and saw where a lot of people were assigned, but I didn't see partner activities come up at all. not even once... Sooo my question is, has anyone here ever been assigned to, or know anyone who has been assigned to, partner activities? Description of position off Bonnaroo's website:
PARTNER ACTIVITIES- Assists festival partners and sponsors with their activations on site from helping set up to running fan interaction with the different activities. Could require heavy lifting. If you have an interest in marketing, promotions, public relations, this C’roo is about all of those things and more. It’s about helping our brands provide a great experience to our fans. (Available PRE-Show and DURING-Show)
I am currently a communications major with concentration in marketing, promotions, and public relations, so you can see why this position interests me. Furthermore, my eventual goal is to work with promotions and organizers for festivals, concerts, etc. If I could go to Bonnaroo for free AND get real world experience, or at least observe the people doing what I eventually want to do, that would be amazing.
Also, anyone have experience with the Well Dunn program? Good, bad, indifferent?
We had 4 people during-fest (at least that reported to put them on the Google Doc) that were under Partner Activities. You can also ask people on the Facebook group since many of those folks were likely not on the Google Doc list as well. www.facebook.com/groups/581925741840980/
the inforoo users (3 of the 4) were dontpanicdeanna, andrew124, stepharoo22. I'm not sure how active they are now, but hopefully that and/or the Facebook group will be helpful. I think 1 of my friends was on Partner Activities too that I didn't list on the Google Doc, and at least part of the time she was just helping man the shower line, I believe. Taking people's money (or checking for volunteer wristbands at the showers by the tollbooth/parking volunteer camp), reminding them about the free shampoo samples and whatnot, and telling people which ones are male/female shower trailers, etc. super easy, and she at least got to generally sit the whole time in the shade and got a free Garnier Fructis shirt, I believe.
Thank you so much for responding Ellie!! I will def look through that link you posted. I'm like 85% sure that ill be volunteering this year. Depends on wether or not I can get that much time off work...
So I'm trying to volunteer for roo, do you just get assigned your shifts?
Hey, you even found the right thread.
Yes, you get assigned your shifts. But from what I understand, there is a bit of constant chaos involved. So if you have a good sense of adventure and humor, it should all work out.

Hoping to volunteer this year, already secured a full two weeks off from work and ready for this! Does anyone know when applications open and how the process works? I'll check out the links above but any advice from a previous volunteer would be fab. I work for Disney in guest relations and have a lot of experience in dealing with a wide variety of VIPs and also a lot of office work behind the scenes, are there usually any volunteer slots similar?

Last year the volunteer applications opened up in mid-March. It's just a simple application; your chance of being accepted is 100%, provided you submit it timely. More information will become available as March rolls around, both on here and on the Bonnaroo webpage. And yes, there are volunteer positions similar to what you did at Disney, but few of them.
If you have any other particular questions, post them and we can answer.

Hey everyone! It seems I've caught the Bonnaroo bug again after two years and I'm itching to go back this summer. I was a pre-fest volunteer my first time in 2011, and I'm planning on volunteering again this year. My question is: Will I receive the notification on when volunteer apps are available to volunteer veterans, being that I haven't volunteered in a couple years? I would like to start the app ASAP to raise my chances of getting a pre-fest spot. It's the only way to go for me. Thanks!
It's likely you will not receive the notification when applications are open for returning volunteers since Work Exchange Team so no longer runs the volunteer program. Join the Bonnaroo Volunteers Facebook group (link below) and watch this thread for updates as the volunteer veterans start to receive e-mails. If the timeline remains consistent with prior years, the applications should go live in mid-March.
