I am not stoked with the main stage additions - cafe acts look good though. With that said, I am totally stoked about the "EDM" stage - round up all that "music" and those "artists" and keep them segregated from the rest of the festival. When I get my map I am just going to Sharpie out the entire EDM stage and forget that portion of Centeroo even exists.
In case you couldn't tell, I'm not big into the techno/electronica music scene
Techno doesn't mean what you think it means.
Lol - sorry to offend you but I call all that shit techno (and with that being said, I am not even sure if eletronica is even a real genre - but it sounds like a good word to describe most of that "music"). If a laptop or record player is the driving force behind your music, I'm calling it shitty techno, regardless of how off base that description may be in reality it is really fun to throw around - esspecially with "EDM" fans around.
I can see them adding 4-5 more bands people know. I mean it still says more artists to be announced.... Give us like at least one good metal band, Dillinger has a gap pretty sure zombie does too.
You have some sort of problem with Baroness or Royal Thunder?
Yes, they are boring. Baroness is overrated and they just keep getting booked at roo. There are so many better metal bands that can fit in at roo.. Zombie and Dillinger like I mentioned before, deftones, horse the band, cattle decapitation (I mean c'mon they're vegan) gojira, protest the hero, Andrew wk (not really metal but heavier and will start a party) death from above 1979 ( still technically not metal but could easily fill the void). There's more I can think of but I'm in class.
Lol - sorry to offend you but I call all that shiz techno (and with that being said, I am not even sure if eletronica is even a real genre - but it sounds like a good word to describe most of that "music"). If a laptop or record player is the driving force behind your music, I'm calling it shizzy techno, regardless of how off base that description may be in reality it is really fun to throw around - esspecially with "EDM" fans around.

God I hope they decide to add more metal/punk, I mean we had Pelican and Danzig last year, Jesus. Baroness' old stuff is really heavy and what I'm lookin for, but god what I would give for them to add DFA79. You know who has an opening and is playing shows again?
SLEEP. If they added Sleep, I'd probably die of happiness. (Odds of it happening are slim to none, but a boy can dream right?)

I'm most happy to see Polyphonic Spree on there. They're one of those bands who's albums I think are "alright" but live they kill it. I'm also kinda happy that they didn't add a slew of potentially conflict causing names. Off to check out some of these cafe...er club acts.

I am upset with the lack of the punk and metal bands on this lineup as a whole.
I need at least one mosh pit, and at least a few bands I can throw the devil's horns up in the air and bang my head too This is ridiculous. Can someone please tell me what if any bands on the lineup I can check out to get my punk fix?
Check out Japandroids, there will be a pit, and I'll be in it.

You could test your luck in the Death Grips mosh pit and throw your devil horns up at Billy Idol.

I've never been to a JEFF the Brotherhood show that didn't have a hilarious and ridiculous pit going.
