Yes, they are boring. Baroness is overrated and they just keep getting booked at roo. There are so many better metal bands that can fit in at roo.. Zombie and Dillinger like I mentioned before, deftones, horse the band, cattle decapitation (I mean c'mon they're vegan) gojira, protest the hero, Andrew wk (not really metal but heavier and will start a party) death from above 1979 ( still technically not metal but could easily fill the void). There's more I can think of but I'm in class.
1) How is Baroness "overrated?" 2) After releasing a critically acclaimed album and just after embarking on tour, the band was in a horrible bus accident that left in doubt if they'd ever play music again. This show will be either their first U.S. show since that accident, or one of the first. This is about as huge a deal as it gets for Bonnaroo. 3) Baroness has only played Bonnaroo on one other occasion. Three years ago. Incidentally, your heroes in DEP played a mere four years ago, so it's not like they've been long ignored while Bonnaroo forces Baroness down our throats every year. 4) How is Royal Thunder "boring?" 5) Rob Zombie is cheap carnival trash music. 6) If you think Bonnaroo would actually book Gojira, you're crazy. 7) Horse the Band kind of sucks. 8) As you yourself noted, DFA1979 and Andrew WK aren't metal. 9) Deftones haven't been great in years. Keep up to date, son. 10) Being vegan has nothing to do with being a great band. Unless your name is Morrissey, vegans can get f*cked.

I am upset with the lack of the punk and metal bands on this lineup as a whole.
I need at least one mosh pit, and at least a few bands I can throw the devil's horns up in the air and bang my head too This is ridiculous. Can someone please tell me what if any bands on the lineup I can check out to get my punk fix?

I saw them at Coachella and the crowd were complete robotic zombies. Not so much of a shoulder nudge. I will look for you at the show, and if I find you we can start the ruckus.

I'll be at japandroids, but alas, age and wisdom has proven to me that men older then 30 should not be in the pit.
I'll be happy to rock out, and get plastered drunk while smoking corn repeatedly, but no pit. I won't stand like a robot, but I may indeed flop like a fish.
i really do hate iron maiden though. and my love of zombie stretches back like 13 years now, i dont think i can ever let go. he puts on a damn good show, would've been perfect in the gwar/alice cooper slot. and i realize that none of the "underground" metal bands i mentioned will probably never grace a tent at bonnaroo but i figured one day we could see them in the cafe or club stage or whatever its being called now, with how bonnaroo has been embracing the metal scene over the past 5 years (mastodon, dillinger, gwar, the sword, baroness, opeth, down, etc...). and to whoever said deftones aren't good anymore i would like to refer you to the new album koi no yokan. thank god death grips is playing, i need at least one good pit over the weekend. i love all types of music and love that bonnaroo gives me the chance to experience something from each genre, i guess that's why im missing the metal so much this year.
I used to hate iron maidan, dio, judest priest,.... But then I found them funny. And now I like them..... Weird huh?
that's like the whole subdivision of metal i could never get into. i don't know why, probably has something to do with my uncle forcing me to listen to that stuff growing up.

Lol - sorry to offend you but I call all that shiz techno (and with that being said, I am not even sure if eletronica is even a real genre - but it sounds like a good word to describe most of that "music"). If a laptop or record player is the driving force behind your music, I'm calling it shizzy techno, regardless of how off base that description may be in reality it is really fun to throw around - esspecially with "EDM" fans around.

If u like these additions your a dumbass simple as that and no wasn't expecting a headliner but was expecting to see a couple bands that people have actually heard of before and I was expecting lots of dubstep or at least techno to make up for the weak quacking selection this year that makes bass heads wanna throw up when they think about how amazing last years selection was
Aren't there other music festivals where you can get all the "womp womp" music you desire. Don't shiz all over Bonnaroo because they have music 80,000 other people undoubtedly enjoy. You know they could throw pretty much anybody in the lineup and it won't make Bonnaroo any less enjoyable.
