Can someone that was there speak to how crowded shows were. I was there in 2012 working the event and I only made it inside the venue for the last show of the second weekend. It was very packed. I tend to watch headliner sets at Roo from the way back near the vendors where I can have my space. Is this even possible at Coachella? Assuming I don't need to be in the Sahara, is there a space at the back of the stages where I can still hear and not be in a tightly packed crowd?
Some shows were crazy packed (Outkast early on, Disclosure are two examples). Some shows you could waltz right in there and get a good spot (QOTSA). None of the crowds I was a part of were dead, though.
Wanted to say Phi, great coverage on Coachella man. Loved the pictures and all the tweeting during the show.
This. Even though I don't exactly agree with all your musical tastes, your coverage was pretty great and if I was there would have helped me know what was going on at performances around me. Plus, you made me really really wanting to go next year.

For anyone who watched the Future Islands stream...did they happen to catch Sam talking about his tight pants giving him "Samel toe"? Me and Mayo just about died.
I really wish they were going to be at Bonnaroo, I need more of that in my life.
