I am looking into going to Coachella this year for the first time. Any advice or info on the how hard it is to get tickets and camping passes? I'd assume camping passes would sell out fairly quickly because of the amount they release.
Regular on-sale is hard. You'll want to be at a computer as soon as tickets go up. Camping is limited, but you only need 1 camping pass per spot (I've seen people think you need 1 camping pass per person, for some reason).
If you get shut out for 2014, just can always do pre-sale for 2015 in May or June. Much easier to get tickets then

If I wanted to "gloat" I'd start a website and claim ownership for all these rumors. Maybe give myself some obnoxious title, and hand out business cards to girls at music festivals.

I find it mildly humorous that you don't understand that people can hear the same thing from different sources. Or that you don't understand that I had already passed that particular piece of info around to a couple folks (Flanners in particular) before I ever heard it from anyone else. Maybe it's some sort of dysfunction?

THEN, the other person in question PM'd you McCartney, asked you not to publicy share, and THATS when you posted on the forum. And this "source" of yours just so happened to be wrong about all the other stuff you PM'd people on here, but was right about McCartney.

I've actually said in numerous places that I have no source telling me that Arcade Fire is playing Coachella. Back when you had me "blocked" I actually posted agreeing with you that it's beyond logical that they'll be there, particularly as they've never failed to play Coachella following an album release. And I actually said that AF WON'T be at Hangout, but that's just because I think Hangout is goofy and will get Muse or some crap instead. But whatever.
Also, you're getting things conflated. I had a source - an actual, verifiable, legitimate-if-weird connection - for some Bonnaroo stuff. It was based off the employment of someone close to me, and I've gotten in-depth about it with several people on here, among them ITM and (I think) CKS, not to mention several non-mod goons. I heard McCartney from someone else who PM'd me, and I'm pretty sure that at the time they did I said "yeah, I actually already heard that." As far as I'm aware, I told a handful of people well before posting anything - I remember Flanz specifically simply because of his reaction.
And the sh*t I got wrong wasn't from this same place - I only had three names for Bonnaroo, and they were all there. The stuff I was hearing about Coachella came from an entirely different place, which I was pretty open about when I told you what I was hearing. It's funny that you're pulling this now, when last year I flat out told you "hey, this is what I'm hearing," followed by "well, now I'm hearing this," and then "well, it's different again," and I disclosed exactly where it was coming from. I purposely didn't make it public but rather sent it to people (like you, you soft-shafted malingerer) who were going to that fest and might have an interest because, you know, sh*t like that is interesting. I didn't start a blog and post what I was hearing every other hour.
So basically what you're saying is you should stop with the "So and so IS playing this festival" or the "So and so ISN'T playing this fest" and instead use phrases like "I think" or "I don't think"? Sounds good to me.
And that's awesome you only had three names for Bonnaroo and they were all there. I must have fallen asleep during Deadmau5's set.
Oh, and your PMs were definitely not "this is what I"m hearing". They were SO AND SO IS GOING TO BE THERE!
