If any of those acts are gonna play until 6 in the morning it would have to be Animal Collective. Agreed?
Negative, superjam has Jim James, the king of I'm gonna play until they shut me off , he's known for his 3-4 hour sets. Expect Jim playing until the sun comes up!!!!
Sooooo can we assume that Bjork, Wilco, and The National will be our Pre-Headliners? With the exception of The National possibly closing the Which on Sunday?

How about the sixty four year old drummer and sixty six year old bass player? I hope they are up for a three or four hour show going until 6 in the morning. I don't know much about the stamina of these guys. I don't know many in their sixties that are up for that. But then again I don't know many in their sixties period.

That sounds pretty awesome to me.... I had a Wilco > Petty feeling the other day. Would love to see this close out the fest!

There are plenty of other acts that I would have preferred to be LN, but then there would have been terrible conflicts. So I am quite happy about the selections. Must see PL, EOTS, Boys Noize, Porter Robinson and Wolfgang. Wouldn't mind seeing some of Superjam (its Jim James ya'll) and Billy Idol.
Also, I'm pretty sure there is no other music festival in the country with this diverse of a LN lineup. You have EDM, R&B, rap, indie electro, classic rock, psychedelic alt, a superjam, and more. This should be exciting for everyone. Regardless of your musical taste you should be able to find at least one LN act that you'd want to see.
Finally, its a much better LN than last year. By far.
Did anyone else notice that other than Bustle In Your Hedgerow, every late night act is in the top 40 names on the line-up. These shows are all going to be packed, my only consolation is that they pretty much all provide competition for each other.
I think R. Kelly, Pretty Lights, Wu-Tang, and maybe even Animal Collective are all too big of acts for a tent. I'm predicting late night acts will share the Which Stage this year.
I also am a bit puzzled about the inclusion of Weird Al as a LN act; his show will likely be good, it just doesn't seem to fit the "OMGIMHAVINGSUCHAGOODTIME" vibe that Bonnaroo LNs usually have. However, I do know of a few people that have him as a must-see so maybe his popularity warrants it - at the very least it should help free up some space in the other tents.
I'm still hoping that Bjork somehow ends up after Mumford on Saturday. I'm very happy to know that she won't be conflicting with Boys Noize (one of my most anticipated sets), but she just has such a "let's get naked and weird under the moonlight" vibe to her music that it would be really odd to go from her into M&S. Usually after performing pagan rituals and writhing in crystalline delight I don't feel the need to don a vest and stomp my boots.
Who do we think the sunrise set(s) will be this year? I'm hoping the Superjam, because it looks like it's going to be awesome but will probably conflict with Boys Noize.

I'm of the opinion that the vast majority of the UNTZ should be during late night so i'm slightly disappointed that Araabmuzik, Four Tet, Clockwork, and A-Trak are not there, but i'm sure a couple will be late Thursday night so that's OK. Other than that, i'm very happy. Last year was horrendous and really made an otherwise fantastic year mediocre.

I think he's an odd choice for LN as well but he should do away with a conflict, as will Idol and BitH. Although without a conflict he MIGHT be amusing.
God, you have no idea how much I want to get destroyed and watch Bjork. She damn well better be after sundown because "It's Oh So Quiet" would make the fest for me.
Sunrise? Pretty Lights will go LATE and probably one of the DJs at the "electronic" tent. Although Superjam has potential even though it's unlikely given the musician's ages.

You know what could be awful? A combination of Araabmuzik / Four Tet / A-Trak closing out on Thursday night. My guess would be the following: Four Tet / A-Track. Oi.
Pretty Lights did a sunrise set in 2011, but he also started late. He's pretty much the late night headliner this year, and they typically start around 12:30-1:30...so I doubt he'll pay a 4-5 hour set...but who knows; i've seen him live many times and the guy loves to throw down.
I'm suprised and very excited for the ZZ Top LN. I'm going to be pretty upset if Them and JJSuperjam conflict. And I can easily see Weird Al doing one hell of a LN set. Having multiple guests and quite possible an awesome backing band.

That's my biggest worry as well, though one would hope the classic rock act and the Rock and Soul jam would be pretty apparent as things that should not ever conflict. Both of them should be fantastic though, my top priorities for sure.
I'm terrified by a late night Weird Al set. After the drawn out stupidity of the live announcement, I can only imagine what idiocy he has planned. Then again, I could be wrong, and I REALLY hope I am.
I think you are wrong. I'm almost positive that Bonnaroo will be getting Al's normal show. It has a lot of multimedia elements and costume changes that are timed out to the fraction of a minute. It's very, very difficult for Weird Al to change up his setlist. And the normal show is a solid 2 hours and 15 minutes; it's much more likely that something will be cut than that extra "idiocy" will be added. At most, one song might be swapped out. My secret hope is that he'll do "Dog Eat Dog," the Talking Heads homage, in honor of David Byrne being at the Farm.
See, that description sounds great. I've never seen Weird Al, and I do enjoy his stuff, so if it really is more of a concert than a drawn-out skit, I'd be happy
Four Tet not getting a LN is absolutely appalling. Unless he's playing late at night on Thursday.
It is, but at least I can say I f'in told you so to which ever idiot it was arguing with me that they were 100% late night. Might have to look up who it was and stick it in their face.
That might've been me. I definitely debated with someone saying that Four Tet was for sure a late night. Still can't believe he isn't. Imagining him playing in daylight makes my brain hurt.
Exactly the sentiments toward SBTRKT's lineup placement last year and that set turned out to be a top 10 set regardless. At this point Im just hoping for a conflict free Four Tet

I'm not even trying to be my usual pessimistic self here, but I just don't see how this is possible. It'll be Four Tet against Bjork or Wilco. I could live with it being Wilco I guess.

I agree Four Tet will still be great in the day. I'm hoping he closes the pre headliner portion of the EDM tent before Mumford plays on Saturday with a sunset show. Soul Superjam opening the late nights would make that Saturday night great. I'm sure whenever he plays there will be conflicts for me with this stellar lineup.

ya sbtrkt was great last year.

sbtrkt was earlier in the day, right? like 5pm? that shouldn't conflict with anything huge. especially if he's on saturday, the day that is always awful.

Right, 5 on Saturday will probably be a little dead. I see him closing a tent though.
