Not sure what you're implying here. Are you saying that you agree with Bonnaroo's decision on not having any artists play during That Tent late Friday night, or are you just making some random comment that could be called an "observation?"
Regarding which stage vs. tent, I vote neither.
You mentioned that Karl Denson wouldn't cost much, I'm observing that 6ou seem to be forgetting the fact that running the stage costs quite a bit of money in addition to the artist fee (probably more than Karl Denson). But I guess I agree with you that Bonnaroo should always have more of what I want and less of the things I don't like.
It doesn't have to KD, they can just move ALO into that slot from Thursday night.
My big two complaints regarding late night is Weird Al having a late night, cause he's going to get shafted. However, if the crowd becomes unbearable during the superjam, I might bail and go see him instead. And that empty space late Friday night in That Tent. Couldn't they just sign Karl Denson's Tiny Universe or some band of that stature, and let them play all night. They wouldn't cost much, and would give the jam band crowd some happiness. Seriously, I think whoever is in charge of scheduling must drop loads of acid for kicks when he/she makes the schedule. They have to be having a laugh. And I'll be seeing the Revivalists or hanging in the cinema tent listening to Michael Winslow. Can't believe the faux-Amish people of Lumineers and Mumford are playing for three straight hours.
michael winslow is going to be impossible to get into for this very reason.
Its probably been mentioned already, but how did they think it would be a good idea to have The Lumineers close out Which before Mumford? Its gonna be a stampede of people running from which to what.
it's fine if you don't want to see any of those terrible bands.
Someone tell me i'm stupid and i'll move on, but what about a late addition of Sufjan in that open LN slot? Backed by St. Vincent (she'd have to fly in as her and Byrne do have an off day on Friday), the Poly's and Cat Martino doing back-up vocals?
Pretty sure he hates festivals though right?
you're stupid. not because you want to see sufjan, but because he doesn't play outside.
My only complaint is that I think The Lumineers and Bjork should switch places. Conflicts are not that bad for me. I am going to be missing a good bit of acts I wanted to see, but with a lineup this strong that is expected

Depends on if you're alone or with a group because trust me - moving a group of 8 or more around the farm can be a disaster. Everyone on a different bathroom schedule, phone batteries dying, people trying to get beer or food, etc. Charge your phones, kids.

+1
I don't know many Lumineer fans that don't want to go to Mumford and Sons. The crowd will be bigger for The Lumineers as well. Right now on Bonnaroo schedule page it says that 11625 have already put The Lumineers on there schedule, while only 1469 have Bjork.
Best news so far......Superjam followed by Bustle in your Hedgerow. Love that. Sorry Mumford and Sons but may have to skip you guys this year.
Man...you and I may be the only two people at BIYH, but if so, the first, and third, and fifth, and seventh, and ninth, and eleventh rounds are all on me...
And it wouldn't be the first time I've skipped M&S on the farm...
You all analyze the shit out of this and i don't think i really have anything to add. Thursday is extremely stacked and i'm stoked to be running around that night like a mad man. I'm gonna vote that Wilco/The XX/Jim James conflict is probably the worse. And although there is a strange gap in the late night friday. Its not like it will be totally silent in centeroo and it'll be fun to be wandering and hopefully catch a cafe act or something like that. Who knows what other things will be seen. Little upset about the Portugal, The Man/Lord Huron conflict, i'll probably just make my decision that day. I guess Four Tet is this years SBTRKT. SBTRKT still killed it and i am sure Four Tet will too. I too am shocked at the Bjork/Beach House conflict, it does suck a bag o d's. And although the Saturday late night is SUPER conflict heavy as well. The Funk SuperJam in to Empire of the Sun is going to be awesome and i can't wait. Sunday The Other Tent is where i will be, although depending on how i feel i may want to go see Baroness.
Rereading what i wrote i realize there are a ton of conflicts. But i am going to a bunch of fests so i'll get my chance to see everyone i want. I can't freaking wait for this though.

I also think Bjork playing a sunset show will lose some impact. She may have wanted to not play a late night set, though. Overall, I'm very pleased with the way the schedule is set up. It's all about personal preferences, of course- but there isn't a single conflict that really gets under my skin this year.
Does porter Robinson playing against pretty lights not bother anyone else? There's a few I could stand to see switched in there but overall I guess its ok. Gettin an early start Thursday tho
This was the first thing i noticed. ALong with 3 good (IMO) EDM acts "wasted" on thurday....
Have there been serious schedule changes before? I mean, like major "we Quacked up scheduling" changes and not "this band got dropped so we'll fill them up with X" kind of re-scheduling?
Only thing that comes to mind is Phoenix getting moved from a cafe to a tent after they blew up in "09.
Wasn't phoenix the Which stage closer that year? That more than just blowing up
Biggest schedule change I can think of was Kanye. Was originally a pre-headliner, moved to late night, then later night, and out of respect for Phil Lesh's awesome set, he respectively decided he should wait until morning.
I wouldn't get my hopes up about schedule changes. The ones I remember were usually due to scheduling conflicts. Who was the random act that got a late night set a couple years ago after someone dropped out? Drawing a blank
Cant get over how weak Saturday afternoon seems in my opinion....from Nas until the Superjam really seems lacking to me, wish Portugal the Man would have been a little later in the day maybe swapped with Cat Power or Dirty Projectors would help alleviate the PTM/Lord Huron/Death Grips conflict for me as well as give me more to look forward to that afternoon/evening. Instead may be just resting up for the late nights(Superjam and Empire of the Sun/Boys Noize). Relatively happy with the rest of the schedule though Thursday and Friday looked stacked. Sunday has the usual conflict heavy 6pm ish slot that should be another tough decision but that's pretty much expected by now...

For me it's the best idea in the world. After Bjork I can stay in What while the stampede heads to Which and hopefully What will empty out enough for me to get a little closer to the rail for M&S. However, LN is a clusterquack
