I had a great time in 2009 LN walking from NIN to Moe to Ben Harper to MGMT and back to NIN that I'm thinking the same thing is in store for me Saturday with Superjam, Billy Idol, Weird Al. Finish at Superjam and chill for Bustle in Your Hedgerow. Great flippin night.
Complaining about schedule conflicts is petty. Everyone has a conflict or ten, it's part of being at a festival. Suck it up and pick one or the other, or split your time between sets.
People have complained about much less.
I suppose not everyone has time and money to go to concerts and fests all year though, so it could sting much worse for some esp. when they buy their ticket ahead of time thinking they will be able to see their favs.
I'm somewhat disappointed in the scheduling this year and I am not even going.
I just figure every year there's going to be conflicts, but I'd rather have too many conflicts than not enough acts to be interested in in the first place. It's a good problem to have.

By and large I completely agree! I'm just bummed that 5 of my top acts all conflict (3 are LN Saturday).
Personally I'm thinking Wilco > Conspirator and skipping JJ solo altogether. I mean its no MMJ and he's leading the superjam which I will NOT be missing.
glad I'm not the only one with a conflict between Wilco and Conspirator. I don't like to split sets, but there is enough overlap that I can catch at least all of one and the rest of the other. I love Wilco to pieces, but I've been wanting to see a Conspirator set.
actually you know what? i'm seeing john mclaughlin then heading to conspirator. sorry tweedy. xoxo
Pitchfork article on AraabMuzik getting shot and is now recovering in the hospital with Bonnaroo being 40 days away now does anyone think this could see things shifted around a little on Thursday evening? Just curious, I know this prob wasn't the best place to post this but figured it may alter the schedule if he has to back out on playing his set in The Other Tent from 6:15-7:15.

Wow, that is a rough hand you were dealt, especially with the LNs. May your choices be fulfilling!
I am a rookie, can someone tell me why it sucks that Portugal. The Man is on Which Stage?
There is a distinct lack of shade. Only small spots around a big tree or near the back of the field will shade you from the sun. Seeing a show there in the middle of the day always feels like it's more draining than if you were at a tent show. There's no escape from the heat/sun if it's a hot day without overcast skies and also there tend to be issues with the sound on that stage. People complain about not being able to hear very well if standing in a certain spot.
Can't complain much because it's a festival and there are going to be conflicts, but I really don't understand the scheduling of Bjork and The Lumineers. Seems like it would be logical to let Bjork follow Cat Power and close Which (when it's a bit darker) and put The Lumineers on What before Mumford & Sons. Then again, logic doesn't always seem to dictate scheduling at Bonnaroo.
On the contrary, I can't wait to see Animal Collective play 2-4 in the morning.

I sent an email suggestion/tweeted at them nicely basically this exact statement. I suggest we all do such things. Bjork late night after Cat Power would be so much better .

That was one of my best nights at Roo as well! Thanks for this post, you helped me put it in perspective. i've been so pissed about superjam clusterquack, this is the way i need to look at it! Bustle will be one of the top sets of weekend, I'm hoping for a Warren Haynes/Miso collab. Someeon's getting up there!
Wouldn't be surprised to see Warren hop on with ZZ Top on Friday night, or to see Billy Gibbons jump on with the Mule on saturday afternoon.
When I saw ZZ Top last summer their set seemed very tightly choreographed. I'd doubt they'd bring on guests to jam (especially with their shorter set), but then again someone who knows more about them then me should feel free to tell me I'm wrong.
