Also, Dwight Yoakam bleeding into the Lumineers kind of sucks....also the fact that Lumineers ends when Mumford begins....
Thursday: Milo Greene-twenty one pilots, Friday-Trixie Whitley-Bernhoft-Trombone Shorty, Jason Isbell-Calexico, and Jim James-Wilco Saturday-Portugal-Lord Huron, Ed Helm's Whiskey Sour Radio Hour-Frank Turner,
Not to mention once again it doesn't look like we will have time to hit either the cinema tent or the comedy tent (would like to see Cross, Ed Helms, comedy Bang Bang, and Saget)

I think the problem could easily be solved by switching Bjork with either R Kelly or Weird Al. Saturday late night is a Roo nightmare for me. I really don't know what to do about the Superjam vs. Idol vs. Al. All 3 are extremely unique/special to me for different reasons. But, so is Bjork for many people, just didn't see her playing during the day...
Byrne/St. Vincent vs. the Bluegrass Situation is horrible.

Spot on. Weird Al is such a mid-day What act, much like Jack Black...
Wilco vs. the xx vs. Jim James vs. Conspirator is extremely painful. R. Kelly vs. Superjam vs. Billy Idol vs. Weird Al... David Bryne and St. Vincent vs. Bluegrass Superjam vs. ASAP ROCKY
A lot of the acts I wanna see conflict with each other. I don't know why I get excited for the schedule when it only brings me pain haha.
What's the worst conflict you guys have so far? Annoying but manageable
Jason Isbell .vs. Calexico Bjork .vs. Beach House Superjam .vs. Weird Al .vs. Mac Demarco
That's basically it. Everything else I am willing to divide time on but looks like I will have to skip on Beach House entirely. I think I will likely even have the chance to check out a couple films and comedy sets around my shows schedule.
Most Unforgivable: Wilco vs Jim James Weirdest: Wu Tang vs ZZ Top Need to check out live: Lord Huron vs Portugal the Man Worst Block : Sunday afternoon. edwards sharpe, sam bush & del mccoury, superjam, the national, david byrne (4 must see shows in a 3 1/2 hour span...not good)
I guess after sleeping on it resolving some of these conflicts hinges on whether I'd rather see the live show or I can just hang out and download it later and enjoy it that way. I'm thinking specifically of Byrne vs. the bluegrass superjam. Byrne's stage show is so good that I hate to miss it, but the bluegrass jam is something I'll probably listen to multiple times. So Byrne it is on Sunday evening...
now that i've had a chance to digest a bit - worst conflict for me: Bjork vs. Beach House vs. Dwight Yoakam - Dwight is a legend & I loved his character in Sling Blade.....I was really hoping to see him - alas, Bjork has been on my list of adored, never-before-seen artists so I gotta check out her set....
Thursday: django django and purity ring Friday: trombone shorty and sea wolf, grizzly bear and foals, wilco, jim james and conspirator Saturday: preservation hall jazz band and clockwork, bustle in your headgerow and empire of the sun Sunday: david byrne & st vincent and bluegrass superjam
Seriously, where do I go to start a petition to fix this?
seconded
Well, I just sent a strongly worded email to their main contact address. I'll PM you a copy in case you want to write something similar. I figure it can't hurt.
The ones on the left are likely where ill end up. cutting way down on splitting sets compaired to last year. FJM v Japandroids Foals v Grizzly Bear Wilco v Jim James Lord Huron v death grips v PTM v Two Gallants Soul Jam v R Kells v Billy Idol
And the only reason I have no conflicts Sunday is because I'm seeing Swans like Thursday and Friday after Bonnaroo, and I just can't get into The National.
So I was upset at the Wilco vs Jim James conflict, like a lot of. So I decided to do what everyone does these days when they have an issue they want to fix. I made a petition on Change.org. Please sign and share, if anyone is going to listen to public demand, its the folks at Bonnaroo: www.change.org/petitions/bonnaroo-fix-the-jim-james-vs-wilco-schedule-conflict

Bjork daytime petition would gain way more traction than this. Conflicts happen and I don't think starting a petition for each one is going to get anything changed. But everyone can agree Bjork before M&S in the daylight is just ridiculous.

The National vs. Tame Impala vs. Edward Sharpe (although knowing I'll be able to catch David Byrne and St. Vincent for the last hour of their set was a big win for me...thought for sure they'd conflict with both The National and Tame Impala) Lord Huron vs. Portugal. The Man vs. Two Gallants Milo Greene vs. DIIV Reptar vs. Sea Wolf Foals vs. Grizzy Bear I know I'll get mocked for this, but I'm bummed that the Lumineers are on the Which right before Mumford on the What. I was hoping to see them back to back on the What.
I'm very eager to see the Sonic Stage schedule released. It will most likely give me a chance to see a few acts I wouldn't have been able to see otherwise, but will also probably create a few more conflicts.

I agree that Bjork early is pretty lame. I like Mumford and Sons, but I think they should've switched the two, I'm not sure if Mumford really deserves the Saturday headliner slot, at least not yet. But at least Bjork is running unopposed for most of her set. I just felt like Jim James (and MMJ) and Wilco share a lot of the same fans (and are even touring together this summer), so having them at the same time made no sense. So I made the petition just to have a place where people can show Bonnaroo they wish they'd switch it up, instead of randomly complaining on Twitter and Facebook and stuff. I think the people at Bonnaroo are pretty cool and would care about what people think. Plus, they've changed schedules before. Unrelated, but I'm really wondering what's going on after Paul McCartney on That Tent. A glaring gap there, something exciting hopefully.
i just can't figure out why you build a superjam so packed with legendary players that it takes up 2 lines of band list, then schedule so many other acts at exact same time! it's so special, why put such fun acts vs superjam?! am i wrong, or didn't superjam used to be only show going on from at least 12-1? this has to be only festival in the world that schedules bjork for 90 min daytime slot.
Monsters vs Sweatshirt Magnetic Zeros vs Tame Impala FJM vs Japandroids, but will prob end up skipping FJM to camp at the tent for a good spot during Alt J
Calexico v macca pit line(will people hold me a spot if I do the same for the later?) Wilco v John McLaughlin v cloney (wilco wins aided by macca pit line) Zz top v wu tang clan ( zz top wins love the guitars and cryptic tweet from wu tang over managers ruined tour) Björk v Dwight Yoakum (bjork wins seen Dwight before hes awesome) Rick and roll dance party v billy idol v weird al (Dance party wins i only know a few billy idol songs and as much as I like weird al I think I would enjoy the dance party more) Ed helms super jam v David Byrne st Vincent (Ed helms. Wins I saw Byrne at bonnaroo 04 and I really want to check out the Ed helms jam)
7 bands I wanted to see but I've seen two before (Yoakum, Byrne), believe I can enjoy just as much on the album/ worried about cryptic tweets (wu tang, weird al),
Calexico hurts the most there show will be awesome I might catch it anyway and see if I can get someone to hold my spot. If not local natives are pretty good too. Billy idol, I know I should see him but am not really familiar with his catalog in fact I can only think of three of his songs off the top of my head, white wedding and dancing with myself and rebel yell..

That must of been you who tweeted the petition to me after my rant yesterday! In my heart I knew it was an inforooster. I really hope the wilco/Jim James conflict is resolved, but for now I'm going with wilco just to guarantee a decent spot for Paul.
For me, the schedule worked out very well. I was afraid there would be a lot of overlap but my "priority" acts are seperated or have a very brief overlap. The two conflicts that I do have are The Tallest Man on Earth vs Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls and The Mowgli's vs Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes. Considering how awesome the entire week is going to be I don't feel I have the right to be upset about it!
