For those who were there last year, what's the landscape like? Mobility issues
From the updated map it seems like you would want to get preferred camping or VIP. Since they've moved some stuff around, Tent Only most likely won't be as free from restrictions as it was last year. Anything other than the two I mentioned would be a trek over terrain that varies greatly in elevation. You are in the Appalachian Mountains.

This looks great! Bringing a RV for the first time & couldn't be more excited. What are some reasonable addition ideas? JB3, leftover salmon, white denim, Sheepdogs, isbell ?
They should do like Miami and bribe their way in. Security guard trampled to death this year and politicians called for a halt. Less than a month later change of tune and 2015 dates announced.
How annoying. "The bigger the government, the smaller the citizen."They're in a field, away from the world, and these a-holes act like it's downtown on a Sunday morning. It's amazing the promoters are giving it another go in this location. They should just rent the bonnaroo site.

Oh no! There was a topless woman at Lockn? There weren't enough lights in the field? Someone smoked one of those jazz cigarettes?

As of yesterday, a buddy and I decided we'll be attending Lockn' this year!! The lineup is unbelievable. I'm particularly stoked to see ABB one last time before they (supposedly) call it quits! We are leaning toward Tent Only over Car Camping based on closeness to the stages, and Forest Camping being a tad pricey. Can anyone who went last year weigh in on the camping situation? Is Forest Camping worth the extra cost, and is Car Camping as far away from all the action as it seems? It appears to be in the middle of nowhere on the map, especially the southern lot - yikes.

Here is the most up to date map. The distance from car camping one (formerly car camping two) to the event area is about a mile. Forest camping really didn't seem all that great for the price. It's just camping in shade with mulch covering the ground. Tent Only is now where car camping one used to be and is still about a 30-45 minute walk.

Did anybody read that email last week? I think with UM getting moved to Thursday they will have a night set for sure which will be a great way to kick off the weekend.
Thought it was neat that they was that open about NYCH as well.

Yeah, I like how these guys are up front about the bands they're trying to get. Also, if NYCH just recently fell through, it means they're still budgeted for another big act...
If we are looking at one more big name, and its not NYCH, my vote is for phish.
I would be happy with that, but I would take MMJ.
I would flip my shit if mmj was announced, but I just don't see it happening due to their new album not coming out until 2015. I'll keep my fingers crossed though!
Hey mods, can we get the title of this thread changed to "Lockn' 2014"? I'm not sure if the original poset is still around and the title is kinda weird.

I got my ticked today and I'm stoked but a little confused can anyone help explain to me the camping situation I purchased a car camping pass so I can camp with my car I'll have 2 maybe 3 others riding with me. The website says one tent per car pass. So if two sleep in car and two sleep in tent we should be good with just one pass right? I read on the site gazebos aren't considered tents so is the one tent thing highly enforced? Anyone who went last year your knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

By far one of the sickest line-ups ever put together but one band I'd like to see added is North Mississippi Allstars I think they put on a show that is hard for anyone not to like.

The answer to this would be yes. That being said I think you would be fine with 2 tents. I got there late last year and had plenty of room so you might want a 2nd opinion; but from what I can tell zero fucks were given. They aren't going to go around and fine/kick people out for having more than one tent.

What a funkin lineup doesn't get better then this Taj Mahal and dumpstaphunk I'm pumped. Does anyone know Lockn's max capacity? Cause I smell a sell out.
