Spingsteen announces new studio album due in January. Think this helps the chanes of him being at Hangout?
I would say it definitely helps his festival chances in general, but idk if Hangout has that kind of pull yet. And if they did manage to get him, what would that mean for the rest of the lineup? It's sad I'm already getting antsy about this lineup and it's not even December.

Agree: It helps The Boss's chances of playing Hangout. In fact, he may just be perfect lead for this year.
Disagree: The pull is not a factor anymore. The step that they made lineup-wise from year one to year two, and this is bold, is the greatest leap I've ever seen in my festival going days. The top six was Paul Simon, Foo Fighters, Widespread Ted, My Morning Jacket, The Black Keys, Flaming Lips. Then they also had the big three at the time of electro in Bassnectar, Pretty Lights and Girl Talk. In my opinion, they will pay whatever they need to and they have a trump card that no other Southeastern festival has. The artist beach makes it so that playing this fest is not just another stop on the tour (unless you're Dave Matthews band and you immediately get on your bus after your show. Just a quick shot at Dave Matthews Band.)
