NIN is overseas during Hangout. Pearl Jam just played Voodoo and are unlikely (especially if they land The Boss). Beck isn't going to draw shiz down here and there's no way he gets booked.
Prepare your buttholes for Jack Johnson and The Black Keys.

Yeah I know, I wasn't serious. Would just be an awesome top 3 for my personal preference. I know PJ played Voodoo, but we're talking 6 months later and it's not exactly the same as being on a beach. I get the proximity issue but I feel like it's far enough down the road where that shouldn't matter. Plus they love playing festivals and have the new album too. Just seems like too good of a fit.
Pearl Jam is definitely a possibility, I just don't see them going after them unless someone bigger that hasn't played the gulf coast in a while falls through. You'd think Black Sabbath is a very good possibility. They have skipped the southeast completely on all of their touring the past couple of years and have a nice gap between the end of april and the beginning of June. But this fest has yet to book a metal headliner. And I'd much rather have Depeche Mode, The Cure, or NY&CH instead of The Boss. I just think this fest would choose Bruce over them because he's just insanely more popular here.

Schlong, you always get caught up comparing the HO to what goes on in Pensecola, Mobile and Orange Beach. The two are not related. This is a destination festival. I find it hard to believe that the majority of attendees would not be thrilled with Beck. They book for the festivarians, not the locals.
There's nothing to compare because nothing goes on in Pensacola, Mobile, and Orange Beach. I just meant that Beck is a soft headliner that's not going to draw people here and they're not going to book him as a headliner. How many people did he draw to Newport Folk Fest this year? 10K? And that's only 3 hours away from NYC. And the faux folk'n Lumineers/Avett's were probably accountable for close to half of those attendees. Derp Mountain Ent. is not booking Beck as a headliner for Hangout. He'd work at their Beale Street Music Fest though and those ticket prices.

Agreed he's not a headliner. I thought we were talking about chevy closer. ...and wasn't he doing a solo folkie thing at Newport?
Muse is only playing Coachella next year. If we got NY&CH, I wouldn't be able to control my bowels. They are playing a fest overseas next summer, so I'm hoping they play a couple US fests too.
They really haven't gotten any bigger because they haven't put out an album since then. And they were playing before Wilco on that Americanaramalama tour. They could headline if given the chance though. Voodoo gave them that opportunity in 2010. I seriously regret missing Voodoo that year.

I'm hoping a Jack White project hits the road next year. The Dead Weather is putting put new material. The Dead Weather I don't think could headline but the The Raconteurs definitely could.

MMJ drew 25,000 at forecastle in 2012, their hometown. Not big enough, but I would gladly eat my words for MMJ! No one has mentioned The Avett Brothers. They put on a good show and haven't been back since 2011. They are probably more of a Chevy closer still, but Could happen. Much better chance than beck As small as it maybe, it could go Boss- jack Johnson- avetts

Well phuck, phish is out once again. TAB playing Summercamp....and don't tell me it's possible without and example of a one week turnaround between the two.
..and i'd say PJ is much less likely with euro tour in june.

I would say you are very right.
But is his d*ck tight?
PJ still possible. Phish never was. They don't roll on shabbos.

Pearl Jam has June Euro tour dates, multiple festivals. They are out for Roo, which would be a positive for HMF. Pearl Jam is very possible at this point, depends on how April and early May fill in.
Is anybody concern that the Hangout facebook page is giving away a hot tub to ticket buyers?! Gimmicks to sell tickets seem desperate. Is the line-up shaping up that badly or are they just being nice?
