Agreed. Idk how that's gonna work. I think we all thought it'd make sense for him to be in the Bassnectar slot from last year. They may be switching the timing up this year.

First time at HF, done Bonnaroo and Governor's ball before, just wondering if any of you guys knew the deal with VIP alumni tickets. My co-worker bought his as he went last year but can't make it this year so I bought it off him. Do I just take the alumni ticket he gave me to the box office on Thursday & get my wristband? This is all I need to get in to the Thursday pre-party correct? Thanks.
Whatever you do, go see Diarrhea Planet. I don't care who they conflict with. These guys will blow you away, and you will walk away from the show saying that was the most fun you've had at a show all weekend. Best band.
The full day-by-day lineup for the fest won’t be released until Monday, April 7
On Friday, May 16, the STS9 will rock the Boom Boom Tent as The Black Keys play the Hangout Stage.
On Saturday, May 17, Pretty Lights will play in the tent, with The Killers on the Hangout Stage.
On Sunday, May 18, things work a little differently. Organizers have put Jack Johnson on the Chevy Stage at sunset. (Because if you have Jack Johnson and a beach and a sunset, that’s what you do.) After that, the focus shifts to the Hangout Stage, where hip-hop duo OutKast will close out the weekend.
so unfortunately my friend saw correctly. I like having an option during the headliners, I just think they should have gone further down the bill to fill the slot. Now there are 4 bands that I would have watched their whole shows reduced to half shows.

One of the worst band names ever, but this band is so good.
Ugh, that sucks!!!!! I'm still excited tho! Ill go halfsies on Friday and skip PL Saturday. PL in the tent sounds awful, and the killers have lasers.... Mmmmm. Anyone else here actually seen Diarreah Planet live?
I haven't but I like their cd and fromt he videos I saw online they look like a lot of fun. I can't remember who said it, but some1 described them as good guitarists that have a lot of fun and don't take themselves too seriously. That's exactly what they look like and that sounds like a fun way to start my Saturday.
friend of mine just saw DP at SXSW and he said it was one of the most fun shows hes been too and they are a cant miss when we come to HO. They played at Made In America last year and i planned on seeing just bcuz of their name but didnt get the chance with too many conflicts

got to see St. Paul and the BB last night and they put on a really good show despite being in a tiny venue. they were really cool to and engaged with the crowd since it was so small we could BS with em a little bit. they came on around 1045 and played til about 12-1215 and then were playing on one of the morning shows today talk about working hard. defintely gonna make sure to see em on the beach i think it will be a great show

So Sunday might be the best close in festival history for me! IMO, Bastille- Portugal- Avetts- JJ and ending with Outkast gives you such a large scope of music while on the beach with good friends. Mix in some untz somewhere and then it's perfect. It will be amazing- Gulf Shores can't get here soon enough!
Edit- St. Paul and capital cities(dancing good time), Reignwolf (master shredder! You like what I did there) and Tom Odell as well- jam packed!

Agreed funkymunky. As the rest of this yrs fests announced their lineups, it's just gotten me more excited for Hangout. COnsidering their size and pull, compared to the other big fests this year, I think they actually ended up doing a really good job. I'm way more excited for the full day aspect of this year's lineup than previous years for my tastes. Can't wait to get that breakdown on April 7th though to see all the conflicts.

I am a long time Lolla goer and feel let down. I think the undercard delivers on par with past lineups. Metallica, PJ or some big rock act is missing. Looks like Lolla wants to be like Ultra music fest in Miami; which a security guard was trampled and over 100 arrests recently. If that is what Lolla wants then they can have it. This will be my last year there. Beyond excited about arctic monkeys headlining spot- they deserve it in my book! As far as hangout goes, it is my favorite fest. The beach takes the vibe through the roof. Outside of the kids there to tag-a-along with their "cool" friends, it's a bunch of grown-ups trying to let loose from life. Good times ahead! And forecastle did great too! Can't wait for that one as well!

It says it clear as day on their website that there won't be single day passes this year. It's in the FAQ section. I guess they could change their minds but I wouldn't count on it.
