We looked into that too but most of our group pounced on our plane tickets at the perf time. It was like the Tuesday after the new year, before the lineup was announced or anything. I think they were like $160-$170 each way. They've been ridiculously high every other time I checked. If they didn't drop when they did, we def were looking into NOLA too though.

This year were planning to stay an extra night but haven't added it yet. Hoping this deal appears again. Anyone experience this deal in past years or know if they are doing it again?

Haven't seen anything like what you say but I know we got 1 night free for booking 5+ nights so maybe meyer just changed it up a bit.. We go from Tuesday to Tuesday the last two years @ crystal shores west and this HOF is looking to be the best yet! Can't wait to get to the beach on the 13th!
So. No beach slide this year, but a beach volleyball spot. That sounds like an improvement, or at least should be more interactive to more people. Not real sure how the water slide is gonna work at the Palladia stage...? And yeah, that wedding chapel is a bit odd I think, but whatever.
i love the water slide its so damnd refreshing. the volleyball sounds kinda cool is its done right and a good way to meet/interact with people during down time.

With all the people who are going to want to get ino the water I hope they have a system in place similar to bonnaroo comedy theatre, come get a ticket for a future time to come back and enjoy the water but then clear out in time for the next wave of ppl. This would be fair and stop some ppl from just having one member set camp at the beach all day.
Not that I wish anything bad on the poor guy, but if Chance ends up having to have surgery and cancel more dates, I'd be ecstatic if they could move around the schedule a bit. I was planning on seeing him in that 7 pm pre headlining time slot at the Red Bull stage anyway, but if they could put Moon Taxi there, thus allowing me to see Matt & Kim on the beach, it'd honestly be perfect for me. Has anyone heard anymore news on Chance?
I'm going to a festival in Tampa this weekend, and Chance is schedule to perform Sunday afternoon, so I'll be sure to give an update on whether or not he's able to show for that one.
I see there's been brutal flooding around Pensacola and Gulf Shores after all the storms. Saw a Twitter pic on the Gulf Shores Twitter feed of water right up to West Beach Blvd at the festival grounds. I don't know how this affects beach conditions or assembling massive stages on the sand. Hangout's Twitter/FB accounts have been quiet since the storms. People lost their possessions, houses and lives not far away so I'm sure the beach is the least of many people's concerns right now. If Hangout is packed in 2 and a half weeks hopefully there will be some donation locations to help out those affected.
i think today was a scheduled date to update the app if i remember right. but hopefully all is well out there and we are good to go in 2 weeks, just 2 short weeks!

FWIW, I emailed the lady we're renting our condo from yesterday to ask and she said despite the 15" of rain they received in Gulf Shores all the roads were fine and there shouldn't be any issues. Sounds like Pensacola may have received a bigger dose and more damage.
Yep, already updated the ap and added my schedule. Getting all set to head that way for kickoff Thursday morning, get the condo stocked and then party till Sunday night. I don't head home till Monday mid-morning this time

That road always collapses there when it rains bad. I don't know if its just structurally impossible to stop from happening because of the local geography/topography, but that occurs all over town usually in WeMo while midtown and downtown just straight flood like nuts because it's low lying.

If there's anything that can beat it, it would be that same set on the beach to close out the weekend. Idk how it gets much better.
Out of sheer boredom, what do you guys think could be a good fit for the top 6 next year? Just judging off new albums that are supposed to be coming out plus bands that could be realistically signed by fall (I feel like this is when talks probably start for Hangout if not earlier) this could be possible:

foo, actic monkeys and disclosure would be amazing. what about Kanye potentially? i think he is about to drop another album at some point in early 2015 he would make sense.
