Did anyone see the weather predictions for next weekend? I actually laughed when I saw how perfect it's going to be. 80 and sunny everyday with virtually no chance of rain at all.
Nice. Yeah our flight from Chicago gets in at 9:30am Thursday but we got such a big group Im gonna make 2 trips to and from the Pensacola airport to get everyone to the condo. Should be settled in with food and booze by 1230-1ish. That's a good idea to play beersbee on the beach too. We'd have to buy some poles to use while down there but that's not a bad idea. I'm sure we'll run into each other. I'm comin with a group of 13 guys total, we're all 26-28. It's kind of hard to miss my dumbass, I'm a bigger guy and I'll be wearing a bandana everyday and I got 2 half sleeve tattoos and my back done. The way the lineup worked out this year, I prob wont be utilizing the beach anywhere near as much as usual, prob just Thursday.

Where did you see this?
Accuweather is where I saw it. My buddy texted me a picture from his phone with it too. Supposed to be 80 and sunny with no rain everyday.
haha last year when we got home we started looking at condos for sale so we would always have a great place to stay. something about the gulf shores and the hangout
thats awesome. my friend who booked said he though 4 but maybe 3. we were/are hoping to get in town by 2 so we can everything in the condo and get a little beach action in before the pre party

Let's all rally to get HOF to switch the bloody beetroots play time with tommy trash so we can see the beetroots then modest mouse!!!! This is my only bummer but I'm holding out for a late reschedule like they did with skrilly in 2012
The last 2 years when Sunday came around I always debated saying f*ck it and not goin back to Chicago. This might be the year...
zaj, I was so GD sick of leaving the beach I picked up and moved from Denver to SoCal this year. Now I'm just leaving one beach for another for Hangout. Worth it.
I think we tossed this around last year and I probably missed the final decision, but should we organize a message board meet and greet at some point during the fest? Like, say, during one of those no man's land time slots?
I just feel like we're one big family, man! We should at least enjoy a giant marg and foam machine dance together.

You chose the right beach to move to. Nothing else happens on the coast of Alabama worth staying here for if you're a live music fan. And being here in the summer is miserably hot & humid, especially if you do quite a bit of work outside.

Family's from Mobile and I spent every summer in Gulf Shores so I know that heat+humidity all too well, hence the heading West instead. When I stumbled onto Hangout the first year when I was down there for a cousin's wedding I was totally shocked. JOHN LEGEND IS PLAYING IN GS??WHA?? But I have to say I'm pretty proud of my summertime-home-as-a-kid these days, especially because people still say "There's a beach in Alabama?" yeah mfer and it's amazing.
I have Dawes at 3:45, but am free for that hour & 15.
2:30ish - 3:45ish on Friday sounds good. Unless any of you kids are really into Ingrid Michaelson?
the 2:30-3:45 is probably the best bet for a met up for most but I did want to hear Valerie June play some, she have a amazing voice and different sound. or 3:45-5 as I don't HAVE to see dawes just plugged em in b/c they're there.
maybe a meet up around the BMI could work as well since there will be drinks/food at that stage and most likely a smaller crowd like maybe during Bronze Radio on friday?

I'm def going to see V.June as well...I think you're right about meeting at a small stage...BMI or Red Bull(Hangout Bar)...we need a show that everyone is planning on hitting...how about the beginning of Moon Taxi at the red bull bar?
