I still can't believe that Huka isn't booking Hangout.
I just checked and Ryan Chavez from Huka is no longer the Hangout fb page admin. I think I had checked a couple of weeks ago and he still was. It doesn't say who is now, so whoever took over the reigns made that information private.
Dang, you should change your slogan to Investigator Cheesed!ck. Somethin's going on here, for sure. How do you go about checking who is an admin on fb? That'd be super helpful for my line of work.

Ha. That's actually a rank/title that was given to me by a moderator at the request of one of the members here after I jokingly referred to myself as that. I can only change the status that is currently "Tight d!ck playa!" which is actually a slogan that we overheard during TAB at Hangout fest last year that became some thing we say a good bit now when referring to people who are not cheesed!cks. Anyway, If Huka is not involved at all with Hangout, it's highly unlikely that I will be finding out any info regarding anyone booked for this fest early again.

Investigator Tight D!ck Playa sounds much better. 2shay. Here's to hoping they book some good stuff. Everyone I know at least WANTS to go to this festival as it has been over the last few years. Anybody else know what's going on down there for sure?
It's a made up term. You've heard of the florida panhandle, eh? Well the rock radio stations in that area (this also applies to the coast of AL and MS) play mostly terrible rock music. And the majority of people on the coast (who don't listen to country music exclusively) fucking love it. P.O.D., Avenged Sevenfold, Seether, Linkin Park, Three Days Grace, Godsmack, Stone Sour, Staind, Drowning Pool, Breaking Benjamin, Finger Eleven, Sublime, Evanescence, Creed, Papa Roach, etc Get the point? See Bayfest lineups...

fucking awesome term. i've always called it c*ck rock, but I'll use panhandle derp rock as well moving forward.

I like this. I like this a lot.
(By the way, just saw that Avenged Sevenfold has the number one album right now, so another win for the general public and their musical tastes!)

I think someone touched on this, but I think one thing Hangout could do that I think would be really cool is bring in some of those big UK/European/Aussie acts that aren't huge in the States on the cheap, and get more of an international audience.... The Biffy Clyros/Kasibians/Beady Eyes of the world. They would all be solid Letting Go Stage headliners or mid-tier main or Chevy acts. I didn't include Arctic Monkeys in that list because they are really starting to find an audience here, but they would be awesome as well.
Starting to really think that Arcade Fire would be the perfect Hangout headliner this year. For those who saw that post-SNL performance, did you love it as much as I did? I can't wait to see that live. Plus I think Arcade Fire would bring more of a tick d!ck playa! crowd than cheesed!ck crowd. It'd be hard for another band to make me more excited at this point.

YES YES YES YES THIS.
Biffy and AM would make my hangout.
I'd also take some Vaccines, Frank Turner and Wombats. A girl can dream...
INVESTIGATAAAAA T!ght D!ck Playaaaaaaa, Ladies and Gentlemen.
Just realized that I typed out tick d!ck earlier. I also laughed about it.
Nextly, I think Red Mountain will maybe mean a greater likelihood of getting things like Sigur Ros, but also things like Darius Rucker and other Bayfest boooshwah.
If they book Hangout like they book Beale St. I'm in big time though.

I echo these sentiments. If it becomes a bigger version of Beale Street's lineup (minus the BayFest crap that does show up on that bill) then I am in every year, but if it becomes BayFest on the Beach....blech.

More stages and more bands.... I'm always down for that. But where is there space to put another stage?
$217.50 for early bird tickets and $40 more for a shuttle pass...They haven't been that expensive before have they? Early Birds going on sale way before black friday makes me think that there will not be a black friday sale this year.

No black Friday...they think the $169 sale last Hangout was a sufficient replacement.
Instead of having a Black Friday sale this year, the Hangout Festival held a one-day loyalty 2014 sale for 2013 ticket holders. Those tickets quickly sold out. As a result, we will not be having our Black Friday sale.
