Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
So, I'm a pretty serious runner and am contemplating this race. I just had a 5k last weekend and finished in 20:51. Though with Roo, it's a completely different monster. Especially since I'll be up late with RTJ and MMSW and certainly imbibing. I don't want to hurt myself, but thought I read somewhere that the winner gets tickets for next year, is that right or totally bogus? It would be really cool to see the farm that way though.
For the first two Roo Runs, the winner received two tickets for the next year's festival. That's certainly subject to change. I think the winning time has been at least sub 19:00 each year.
Thanks! Signed up. Now I can go see that feminist movie Mad Max.
Did you register too? That shit says that this activity is DANGEROUS!!
Not in VIP -- originally planned to be, but umm, cough cough... my plans got changed at the last minute. I will however harass you and call you over and over to get your ass out of bed

Sub 19:00? Damn son, hmmmm
If I remember right, some people who ran last year said there were multiple collegiate runners in the field.

17 year old me would have been able to do that. 32 year old me will probably die and my body will be found in this mysterious new area known as "The Grove"
Also the race should start in front of tent only. Walking to the start line is so far from camp, it should count as part of the race.
I know that feeling. I did a series of races this past January (4 races over 4 days), and for two of the races, the start line was a two mile walk from where I was parked.
A friends running group listed the races they regretted the most. This one was at the top of the list.
Ouch.
For my bachelor party in Vegas we had access to the hotel workout room/sauna through some perk pass. I promised my buddy I'd hit the cardio room with him one day. This was after like 6 hours of heavy drinking. The next day I almost bowed out, but couldn't let him down. Ran 3 drunk miles on the treadmill, took a steam and felt great the rest of the day. I hoping this has the same type of effect :/
You're in VIP, I'm in VIP, if you pass the 17' Saints flag you can come drag my ass out of bed and I will help do the support thing with you.

Well damn. I was secretly hoping that you would be camping right near me unplanned since I thought we would both be in VIP. Alas, my hopes and dreams are shattered. But yes, call me and get me, that is TOTALLY allowed.

Minus the steam...heat and humidity, yes. Steam, rolling off your body from drunkenly running 3 miles, but that isn't quite the same.

I am costumed up and ready to do this! If any other participants want to say hi at the start/finish line-- I have bright red shorts with a lighting bolt "crazy design" Flash Gordon shirt. I also have The Flash ear muffs, because without my ear lighting bolts-- I'm powerless.
What: A 5k race across the festival grounds & Magic Affair costume party Where: Starting line is at the West Broadway Highway Toll Booth When: Saturday, June 11th @ 9 am
Run life in the fast lane at Bonnaroo this year. Or walk in the slow lane. Or just party with us on the sidelines. For the third year in a row, we invite you to race around The Farm!
Sign up for the 5 kilometer race by registering online and paying through our payment link. All participants must sign up online, open May 20th, so make sure you register before the festival kicks off. Entrance fee is $20, with all proceeds reinvested back into the community through the Bonnaroo Works Fund. If you’re a slacker and want to wait until you get to the Farm we will have one line for new registrations. But we can’t promise you a spot in this amazing race as it may sell out!
The Roo Run course twists across the Bonnaroo campgrounds, over hills and through the woods abutting the festival grounds. Make sure you dress for the occasion. Headbands, high socks, and fairy wings are recommended. Athletic shoes are required.
Spectators can kick it however you like. From flip-flops to aquasocks, wear whatever you need to rise and shine to a new day on The Farm. We’ll be handing out prizes to fast runners, slow walkers and the funkiest-dressed early-rising Bonnaroovians in sight.
When you get to the farm: After registering online, make sure you pick up your Roo Run race bib and shirt on festival Friday between 10 am - 2 pm at the RooRun booth located beside the Info Booth at Pod 4. To make your participation official, show us proof of registration (printed, or on your phone) and your matching ID (must be 18 or older).
On race day: On Saturday morning, arrive at the starting line 15 minutes before the 9 am start time. And make sure you’re a well-oiled machine when you toe the line: drink plenty of water and eat healthy before the race begins. We will not be signing up or handing out any bibs on the morning of the RooRun so please ensure to pick up at check in on Festival Friday!
Dress to Impress: It’s not all smoke and mirrors! Let’s support the Magic of Bonnaroo by decking ourselves with top hats, bunny ears and whatever incredulous studs you can get your magic wands on! One Rooner with the best Magical costume will be awarded the grand prize of all Rooners!
Thanks to our sponsor: The Fourth First Annual Roo Run is presented by GNC, the worldwide leader in nutritional supplements. Producing the finest quality vitamins and fitness supplements, GNC invites all Roo Runners to stop by the GNC Fuel the Fun tent in Centeroo after their run to Refuel (Great grab ‘n go items for sale), Refresh (Air conditioning), Recharge (Charging stations) and Recover (Chair massages and great products to keep you Rooin’). Runners can also “show their bib” and receive a special gift (while supplies last). GNC - Fueling runners since 1935.

Good luck to all the runners!
Also costumed up for the run...I will be dressed up as Forrest Gump at the starting line ready to rock.

Yea the 2013 winners time was 16:50...that's about my 2 mile Mark. Best bet is to dress up in a costume and win tickets for best costume.
