This is not really work is hell, but work related. I emailed my supervisor with a question about how many vacation days I have left and when I have to use them by. I've been keeping track and was pretty sure I had only 4 left. He said I have 7. I have to use them by Sep. 14 or lose them. It's funny because he kind of gave me a little lecture about keeping up with them myself because it's not his job and I'm pretty sure he's the one that didn't keep track very well. Anyway, the question is, do I use all of them? I feel like that's a lot to use in only a month and a half. I can easily find reason to take 4, the other 3 I would be taking just because he said I have them.

If it's a use 'em or lose 'em scenario, I say use them. Take those 4, and then scatter the rest? For example, take half days on Fridays. The only way I wouldn't take them is that if my work load during that time period was too heavy and I think my job/company/projects would suffer.

My coworker seriously went on a rant this morning in a meeting because it's too much of a burden to email a digital copy of a letter to a contractor when we send the paper copy to the owner.

bahahaha I've always just called it "off-brand ___" or "the walmart version of ___" one of the restaurants I worked at had a station that was mostly fine background music, but here and there it would have shit that sounded like off-brand killers or some shit.
I can't imagine a whole slew of horrible "remakes" on 24/7. I also can't believe someone somewhere got paid to make that trash.

Story of my life. I work seven days a week and regularly go months without a day off. My days off are days traveling/festivaling/etc. Then between dinners, happy hours, shows, plans with my parents, etc., I am also rarely home during the evenings. Usually I am working 7 days a week during the day, and out of the house 6 nights a week. When I am actually home? I usually sit and do NOTHING, no matter what my chore list looks like.

i've been on vacation, and came back to find that one of the kids DEFINITELY has bed bugs and not a single person called maintenance or mentioned it to anyone.

Last year at a conference, one of my coworkers had bed bugs in their room. Word of this did not make it around until after everyone had spent a night in their rooms as the coworker didn't notice until they woke up in the middle of the night due to all the bites (which included a subsequent reaction that resulted in an ER visit). Needless to say, everyone spent a good long while inspecting every single square centimeter of their rooms after that. I can't believe they let it go for most of your vacation.
Also, there is nothing like being in the office all week to remind me how much I hate being in the office all week.

After today I only have 4 more working days in my current position (took tomorrow and Monday off for Radiohead). Finally starting to de-stress a bit, despite all the work that needs to happen in those 4 days.

One more day and this whole thing is over. I am crazy busy trying to get the book to print and the award ceremony done. I have pickups for the bags that still need to be stuffed. I have to pickup the trophy plates and try and find those stupid tall place card holder things. I am stressing the FUCK out.
Plus, after tubing on Saturday and playing music the WHOLE time while floating, my phone decided to become a brick in the car, on the way home. Apparently this model sometimes does that. Right before the awards. I am no using my stupid iPhone 4 (the whole reason I switched to Android) that I hate with a passion. None of my contacts, no work people phone numbers just a phone that sometimes rings and receives text messages. I am just ready for Wednesday so I can stress out about the book that is supposed to go to print on Thursday.
