Anybody else get hit with the sore throat/fever/congestion/aches this year? I had a great Roo but missed a bunch of shows after I got hit with the bug. If yinz got a tickle in yer throat make sure you take care of yerself...on the plus side, it's better than Bonnarash!

hope you feel better soon! I got a little congested but nothing major. I did see two girls with hives on their lower legs though, they made me itch just looking at them!

I had bad stomach pains that started before Paul Friday and carried through to Saturday evening. I managed to press on through most sets, but I did skip the Lettuce Superjam.
Tons of throat discomfort as well. I'm doing well now but we'll see what the morning brings.
I wasn't there this year but I got it so bad last year which led into the worst thing EVER happening to me. I got sick almost immediately for almost 2 weeks and then when I was finally feeling better my throat started hurting again way worse. I went in to the dr. and he said it was strep and gave me antibiotics but it only got worse. By the next day my neck and face were in so much pain and I couldn't swallow at all and had to go to the ER. Turns out that I had an abscess in my tonsils. It had to be lanced and drained - you can imagine how awesome that was. I lost 10 lbs through the whole thing as well. I had never had a problem with my throat or tonsils in my life - it was crazy! The ENT guy said that if happened again I had to have my tonsils out which I hear is rough for adults so I was REALLY nervous about Roo again....like what is it about that place that triggers getting sick? All the people, being exhausted. We ended up not going this year but I know I'll be worried about it from now on for sure.

I think it's a combo of a Quack-ton of people in a little space with less-than-ideal hygiene for four days + no one sleeping or taking care of themselves. Add in the dust and you're practically begging to get sick.
My nose started running-hard core yesterday, but only on the one side. I definitely have a sinus infection; I could tell when I neti-potted it. Also have a sore throat, but still doing better than last year.
I'm feeling a little under the weather at the moment. But I'm going to attribute that to lack of sleep. My friend got pretty sick though. We think it's a sinus infection.

I'm a smoker, and the dust / bronchitis GOT ME in 11 and 12. This year, I'm golden. Less dust and camped waaay out on the west side of overflow of non-Pod land beyond Pod 6.

I feel a little crappy but it is probably a combination of being back in the real world and exhaustion. I have had bonnaflu every other year so I fully expect it
Let me get past the sleep deprivation and the delirium tremens, and I'll let you know whether I've got the Bonnaflu or not.
Right! My symptoms are fatigue, dirty feet, anxiety about readjusting to reality, and a sense of sadness that the number of days until the next Bonnaroo is back up in the mid-300s.

Anyone with a sinus infection: grab your neti pot. Is it gross? Yes. But it clears up a sinus infection faster than antibiotics could ever hope to. I like the model you have to squeeze because it really gets into your sinuses.
I started using mine yesterday and I already feel twice as good. I fully expect to be better by Wednesday.

i got really cold and achy friday night just before pretty lights i was laying in the grass by brewers when it hit me bad. I didnt even wanna walk back to camp (pod 10). I think it was due to my body fighting the sunburn.
Still have a raging bonnacough and a scratchy, manly voice, but otherwise, I'm great! I was extremely hot and sweaty during the car ride home when everyone else was hunkydory, so I was worried about the bonnaflu... but today I seem to be fabulous!
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

I dont know yet. Last year, I didnt get sick until later in the week. Hopefully, the Thursday rain laid the dust down. My stomach is jacked up and I am a little plugged up but that is expected. As long as I dont get the respitory issues, I can deal with it.
Turtles are, actually quite sexy, if you think about it. I’m getting an erection just thinking about turtles. No, not a stripper named turtles, that’s not funny. Actual turtles.

Probably not carrying around my 50lb camelbak is helping it.
Yeah sorry 'bout that - I know some of that weight was my fault - more on that later.
No, no, no, no, no. We were right across from centeroo. I didn't put it in camelbak until we were leaving for Superjam. Not you, Tom. And even if it was, it would have totally been worth it!!

Cough, sinus drainage, sneezing, sore throat, swollen glands, achy.......Yep, I've got it...felt fabulous until I got to my sister's house and into the a/c. But, if this is the price I have to pay for my incredible experience, I'll do it again and again.

What I thought originally was just the sun getting to me on Sunday, which caused me to miss everything after 6PM (ugh..), I realize it was probably the start of this nastiness I've got. Raw, scratchy throat and some major sinus issues. Should clear up by the end of the week, so I'm not too concerned.
