Anybody else get hit with the sore throat/fever/congestion/aches this year? I had a great Roo but missed a bunch of shows after I got hit with the bug. If yinz got a tickle in yer throat make sure you take care of yerself...on the plus side, it's better than Bonnarash!
The weekend before we left I had to stay at the Hospital for about 30 hours with my little girl. I ended up getting a little cold Wednesday that is still with me. I took a lot of Fruit and vitamin drinks and stuff to try and keep something good in me because I knew I was about to add a lot of bad lol. But, It didn't slow me down really... Although I did miss ALO because I was feeling kinda rough. That super cold night didn't help any either, but I refuse to get sick and somehow that generally works lol.

The bonnaflu lingers on... sore throat is gone but its taken up residence in my chest. Good times!! I did go for a massage yesterday and she did all kindsa neck manipulations on me, and it totally cleared out my ear tubes (which were periodically zinging me with pain)... never thought about asking a MT to work on my neck for that purpose, but it works!! Hope everyone's healing up...

mizvalentine, I must have the same strain of Bonnaflu as you. Sore throat is now hoarseness and chesty cough. I went back to work yesterday and felt OK, but now I'm home with achy body, stuffy head, exhaustion and man-voice!

I'm still treating mine. I think I've over-treated though because my nose is nice and dry, but my ears are so stopped up I can't pop them anymore. Also, intense sinus pain that makes me wish I could pull out all my teeth.

I seem to be doing fine this year, but last year i ended up with bronchitis/pnuemonia after roo. 4 days with lots of partying and no sleep does that to ya.
Woof! More like Bonnacroup - started Monday morning with a sore throat, now my right ear is clogged and I've got a hacking, dry cough. Less than two hours of sleep before work Tuesday, 'bout the same Wednesday. Gonna double-down on some NyQuil PM this afternoon and try to burn this funk off... best of luck, all!

Got super sick Friday night (hot cold hot cold hot cold temperature isn't good for me, who knew!), missed out on Pretty Lights/Animal Collective cause I figured it out by 2:30am, and then took better care of myself the rest of the weekend.
Still have a pretty impressive cough, but other than that all is well! For those with the cough, tea, honey, lemon, sleep.
I was feeling pretty decent when I got home, only had a soar throat and some congestion. I just figured that was a combination of dust, smoke, and lots of shouting. Though now, it seems as the more rest I get, the more the sickness is coming on. Bad cough, congestion, and now an earache. Tea sounds amazing right now, and that's probably just what I need. Here's to hoping we're all feeling better in a couple days!

This was my 5th Roo, and I have never been sick. Until now. Not sure if it was the weather changes/sleeping out where it was dewey, or what. Sore throat, congestion both in chest and nasal passages.
I also have never had any problems with the heat, until the very mild weather this year. Thought I was going to die on Friday of heat exhaustion. So weird.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
Got it bad last year, had lingering effects for probably like 6 weeks. I seem to have escaped it this time, much less dust was probably a big factor in that.

Both my gf and I felt shitty on Sunday and the drive Monday was awful due to being sick. I'm better now, but she has gotten much, much worse the past two days
No alcohol for me (honest). Anywho, I know what's going on my shopping list next year; Emergen-C. Lots of it.
My wife and I each downed an Emegen-C every morning. Not saying that's the sole cause, but neither of us have the Bonnaflu.
I did that last year and did not end up sick either! I've only had the Bonnaflu once, after 2009, but it was a mild case. I felt better after a few days.

I haven't been this sick in years, if ever. And, I hardly drank over the 4 days. But I certainly attribute this horrible cold to something at Bonnaroo. I'm really curious as why in the hell so many of us are sick? I wasn't making out in the port-o-pots either.
I drank 2 Emergen-C every morning while I was there. Monday I was just exhausted, and by Tuesday I was full on sick. I am still sick today. Just now starting to get my voice back. Throat still sore & itchy. Coughing. Runny nose. Sneezing.
I'm attributing it to the close proximity to thousands of random people. And sharing bowls.

Welp, I now have stabbing pains in my right side that just won't quit. I'm guessing I coughed myself into a hernia, or else this is some next-level celiac shizz I've never experienced before. Went to the doc, all labs look good so far and I JUST had an abdominal ultrasound so at least I can be fairly sure its nothing super scary... back for more tests on Monday. I think this is my body's way of talking me into an RV next year...
