I didn't get sick last year, but I got hit hard this year. It didn't bother me too much during the fest. On the ride home I could feel my head was congested. It hit me hard Wednesday morning. The cough and congestion is still lingering, and I have another fest on Thursday. I'm buying a Neti Pot tonight!

Not sure if it's Bonnaflu or just general exhaustion post fest (and getting thrown right back into busy season at work) but I have been extremely tired since leaving the Farm
I still have a cough. And a new set of ab muscles from coughing.
Pretty much the same. Day 8 for me. Bonna-cold is the worst. But, i think us Ohio Valley folks were the typhoid Mary's cause up here in Pittsburgh (and word from Cleveland is) this sickness was going around before Roo.

I was fevery and sniffly on Friday & Saturday, but for the most part have dodged the Bonnaflu for the first time since I've been attending this fine and germy festival!
I feel like I am on the mend now. Still a little stuffed up and holding on to a nagging cough, but it's more of an annoyance than anything else. First time the bonnaflu has struck me, and I sure hope it doesn't happen next year!
feeling much better from the bonnaflu finally. HOWEVER... starting the last day of roo I starting getting itchy. my head was craaaaazy itchy. thought it was b/c I got a sunburn on my scalp. kept itching and itching, and today I found out I have freaking head lice!!! never in my life have I had it! I have the ick!! bonnaroo gave me lice. AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

oh wow that's terrible! I was the nurse for a year at an elementary school where lice were rampant (at least 3-10 kids had them every day), and I ended up with them twice from checking the kids' heads. it was so bad. like, kill-it-with-fire, zomg, what the what horror. you have my sympathy. (and a small amount of lingering sympathetic shuddering, but mostly sympathy.)

EEP! Having two kids in a "wonderful" elementary school on a military post the year before last, I got to know those little buggars way better than I ever wanted to. It seemed like every time we turned around my daughter had gotten them again. Took six months and her best friend moving to Hawaii to get rid of them completely. I definitely feel for you!
Looks like the sinus infection that started Roo Sunday is finally over, and being a heavy smoker, chronic bronchitis is going to keep this cough around for a while. The worst was that the sinus infection drainage blocked my ears, and so I'm now dealing with the tail end of a middle ear infection. Tuesday and Wednesday were rough with not being able to lay down/stand up without the room spinning, but it's all getting back to normal now, thank goodness!
It's happened again. Started feeling pretty terrible this afternoon. Had to skip some sets I really wanted to see and went back to my tent to sleep. Felt like a had a fever. Ughhh. I'm hoping it was just a lack of sleep and being in the sun too long. I hope no one else is feeling this bad!

Well, I managed to get food poisoning Thursday evening, which combined nicely with my gut problems to make it so I couldn't talk, move or think. I slept for 14 hours and managed to shamble through Friday / Saturday, then spent Saturday evening violently shaking under multiple jackets and blankets, before calling it quits when I couldn't stand up Sunday morning. I lost six pounds in four days, I'm sure my doctor is going to be furious that I didn't go to the hospital.
Roo is a nightmare if your immune system gets compromised, that's for sure.
Anybody else get hit with the sore throat/fever/congestion/aches this year? I had a great Roo but missed a bunch of shows after I got hit with the bug. If yinz got a tickle in yer throat make sure you take care of yerself...on the plus side, it's better than Bonnarash!
As soon as I left the airport something hit me. My ears and throat felt super itchy and I started coughing. I didn't feel ill but this symptoms wouldn't go away. Monday today and I am still coughing/itchy ears/itchy throat.

I took extra precautions this year to not get the Bonnaflu and so far (fingers crossed) so good. I used a lot of Emergen-C packets, some green superfood powder daily, and used hand sanitizer like a fiend.
I had bad stomach pains that started before Paul Friday and carried through to Saturday evening. I managed to press on through most sets, but I did skip the Lettuce Superjam.
Tons of throat discomfort as well. I'm doing well now but we'll see what the morning brings.

I had a little thing in my throat yesterday but assumed it was from smoking so much. Now it's a full blown sore throat and runny nose.
Its not so bad, though. In 2012 my tent leaked when it rained saturday night and I literally woke up in a cold puddle of water. I was insta sick and miserable for a week afterwards.
I have gotten this all three times I've been. A mixture of allergies settling down, fatigue, and my body revolting from too many days of too much sun. Luckily, I can keep my mind on the fun time I had to overcome the after-effects. I love being outdoors and at Bonnaroo, but my body seems to think differently.
Today and tomorrow are going to have to be my recoop days. Benadryl seems to be the only thing that clears out my sinuses quickly.
I didn't have any food poisoning issues, but did have a friend who got sick during the VIP party on Thursday night. She didn't ever tell me what she ate there, though.
No Bonnaflu here - I seem to be immune to it and most other infectious diseases that have any digestive system component - but I have been having borderline unremitting headaches since Saturday morning. I had to take it easy on the daylight sets Saturday and Sunday, which really sucked.

Definitely have some developing Bonnaflu symptoms so we'll see how those evolve. Had to nap at camp and miss Jack White & Nick Cave due to a ridiculous headache Saturday evening, but that got better eventually. Probably because I was silly and did the Roo Run Saturday morning.
I was just coming off strep the week before roo, lets just say my tent probably sounded like a TB ward and I don't feel the greatest today after getting home.

At least four of my ten person crew got some kind of terrible stomach bug this time around. I threw up all day on Saturday and ended up missing every show that evening.
I woke up Sunday morning with a pretty sore throat. By Broken Bells I was feeling pretty awful. I'm glad the general store had Tylenol and it gave me some energy to get through Little Dragon

I had an upper respiratory infection prior to Roo, was on antibiotics and feeling better by the time we left Thursday morning. But after the rain Thursday night and the low temps - I woke up wheezing/coughing on Friday morning. I am sure the smoking didn't help either. Now I just have to try to think positive thoughts and double up on my Zinc so I can get better again. Good thing I have the cough medicine already so I will sleep good tonight.
