Garlic works wonders, everyone. It's kinda hard to get down, but I seriously suggest chopping a whole clove of raw garlic into slivers and chasing that with whatever juice you have handy. Do that 2-3 times a day and you will notice a difference soon. You will also reek of garlic, but hey, it's better than being sick, right?
i got a sick headache after kanye on friday and had to lay down for disclosure. puked through the superjam, then made it about halfway through chance's set before i had to call it a night. woke up with a sore throat yesterday morning and it stayed that way for the whole ride home and through the night. today, i'm coughing and itchy and recovering on my couch with louie and game of thrones. i hope everyone is kicking this thing and relaxing.
During the fest I had either strep or and infected tonsil, which made in incredibly painful to swallow, but that cleared up on Saturday. Then I started getting sick again on Sunday - went to the doctors and they said I've got sinusitis and bronchitis. Whoop whoop!

You nasty, my love.
Ever heard of chicken soup?
But seriously? Where's my nurse? She needs to have a uniform that's just a tad too small, and a slight self esteem issue.
First Bonnaroo, and I think I got hit with the Bonnaflu. I eat real food and ny stomach is just full of nope. I feel like I have to puke, but nothing happens. Boooo. This is no fun. But I had an amazing time!

Okay team, so listen: this being my third Roo and not wanting to get down with the sickness like my last two, I went totally asymmetrical warfare on germs. I straight blitzkrieged them this year. Hand sanitizer, all the time, almost hourly, always attached to my bag. Emergen-C packs: one in the morning, one before bed. Garlic, but not that raw stuff - the good deodorized tablet kind. Green superfood powders on the daily mixed with OJ, hydrated sun up to sun up...I'm telling you, it works. Go hard on them drugs like a motherfucking hospital. It works.
I was drinking emergen-c every day and taking ibuprofen every morning and night to help with body aches. Apparently that wasn't enough! I think a lot of my issues (sore, dry, scratchy throat) have to do with inhaling so much dust. I kept forgetting to bring my bandana so I was never protected from it. Won't be making that mistake next year!
I drank a ton of beer, liquor and moonshine and threw up nightly and morningly in order to rid my system of all the contaminents (dust, mud, sulfer water, powerade, gatorade, juices (assorted)). Worked like a charm.

Called in sick to work today thanks to nonstop mucus. I'm just completely clogged. I know it looks bad, but there's no way I'd get through a day at work like this. Chicken soup, emergen-c, zinc, and Mucinex seem to be helping a bit.
Bonnaflu totally kicked my ass yesterday. Had a fever of 102.5, had chills, cough, mucus, stuffy nose. Fever went away today, but my body still feels like it was ran over by a truck.

I will echo what @runninglouisville said, also, get in the habit of taking a multivitamin EVERY DAY, start NOW because it will help make sure you have all of the vitamins and minerals and such you need. I take one every day, Also make sure you boost your immune system pre-roo, start eating very healthy, a lot of fruits and veggies. all of it will help, make sure you have a hoodie and socks at Roo, keep your core warm and it will help ward off you getting cold which can make you feel like hell later on.
I got a bit of a cold starting monday morning and still have it. I don't feel like death, but general sluggishness, cough, sneezing, runny nose, congestion.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.
I got bonnaflu while on the farm. Pretty much ruined my entire Saturday, only saw two shows that day. So just be lucky that you got sick after roo and not during.
You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.

So is that why I barely saw you all weekend, campmate? Poor Tejas.

Yeah, Saturday really wasn't a fun day. I went into centeroo around noon was in there for about 30 minutes and just couldn't take it. Spent about 6 hours under my ez up coughing and in cold sweats. I eventually made it back to centeroo to see chromeo but I was far far back from the which. Then I tried to see Cut/Copy from the back of the tent sitting down trying to groove but my body wasn't cooperating. Went back to the tent halfway through their set and didnt get out till Sunday morning. I wanted to hang out more but I just didn't have the energy.

that was me on sunday. I felt perfectly fine in the morning, and then mid afternoon I felt so awful. I don't wish that on anyone. Such a buzzkill!
Today is the worst I've felt since getting sick. Hopefully tomorrow I start going on the mend. So many boogers, guys...
I didn't get the flu but by Friday morning my tonsils were so swollen I could feel them on the top of my tongue. I went to the Medical Tent end they just said it was probably allergies and I should take some Claritin. It didn't go away until I got home.
No bonnaflu for the first time this year! On the flip side, I've been fighting a sinus infection since I've gotten home. Being around cigarette smoke and putting inappropriate things up my nose probably didn't help. I should remember to bring face masks next year in case we don't luck out with the weather keeping the dust down.

dude you're not the only one.. I've never gotten sick after Roo before. But I've been fighting off some killer sinus congestion since I got back home. Could be my lame ass town made me sick and not Roo? Probably.
We both are still fighting this. I've had this shit in my throat since roo. It got really bad Sun. Sorry everyone for my gagging and spitting while everyone was exchanging goodbyes after Elton. Every night I start coughing and I'm hacking it up every morning.
Aside from my bad allergies during and since Bonnaroo, I've had a weird post-Roo ear condition. When I press where the front of my right ear and face connect, it makes a popping sounds like something has come unhinged in my right ear. I can also do it at a few other locations on just that one ear. I can take Allegra and it disappears for a few hours but still returns. I read online that it's possibly a sinus infection in my one ear. I've tried bendaryl, allegra, nose spray, and a neti pot since last weekend.
I feel fine now other than that one quacked up ear aside from a sneeze here and there. :/
