I think that Kanye could maybe even pull off the Ice berg runway at Bonnaroo. I was front row right where it connected and lifted up. I could be wrong but that seemed like a complete seperate piece. If he just used that at the front of the stage or a smaller runway connected to it I think it could be done. But maybe I'm wrong. I know Paul had that front part of the stage that lifted up last year and I think Kanye could do something similar. The dancers and Jesus wouldn't be able to come down the runway but they could adjust things I'm sure.
With him playing Friday, I as well wouldn't completely rule it out. I think theoretically they could build some sort of modified set up Thusday, fill Friday with bands that don't have rediculous set ups, and break it down in the night. If he were playing Saturday I'd say no chance. I don't think it is likely but I do think it is plausible. I do wonder if the mountain is just too wide to fit the stage, it which case this whole thing is a moot point.
The thought of Vampire Weekend or Nick Cave performing with a random mountain placed in the middle of the stage is making me laugh.
Seriously, though, I think the fact that he's on Friday bodes well for what they can manage to do as far as stage setup.
Flanz I doubt he uses that same set-up for Bonnaroo if that's what you're implying. It doesn't seem like Yeezy's MO to recycle his setup from a previous festival appearance. I could see something similar, though.

I think that's exactly what you guys are getting. It has a staircase and a runway, so it's similar to the Yeezus setup (so he can do a similar performance for Yeezus songs), but he did a ton of his other songs, which is what people are expecting/hoping for.
I wouldn't expect something special just for Roo, I think that setup will be used again.

Maybe I'm just overly optimistic, but I keep thinking of his Coachella performance in 2011 and how unique/special that was. I hope he has something similar planned for Bonnaroo since it seems to be one of his only dates this summer (unless he adds more later of course).

He very well could, I just think it makes sense for him to do a similar type of set to the one he did at GB, only with more Yeezus.
But it wouldn't surprise me if he designed a show specifically for Roo since that set is going to be getting a lot of attention.

Any specific reason you aren't doing Bonnaroo this year, Flanzo? Do you just like Coachella's lineup better?

I highly doubt it will be the same as the Governor's Ball set. I was at that show, and although I loved it, the setup was very un Kanye like and kind of meh. I have pretty big expectations for Roo honestly.

Work is the main reason. I could afford to do both, but I need to plan my vacations months in advance. My company's fiscal year also starts on July 1st, so if I don't plan carefully, I don't have the vacation time left in June for Roo.
I'm doing Coach (which I've had planned since last year) and Gov Ball (which I only need to take 1 day off of work for). Roo is a 4-5 day vacation for me, just couldn't swing it this year with Coach and Gov Ball.

I didn't say the same, I said similar. By that I meant playing songs from all over his catalog and some Yeezus-lite performance stuff.

I like you.
Haha thanks man, I like you, too. Your post inquiring about Dan'Roo's hootin' and hollerin' silliness had me laughing pretty hard fer sure.

That crowd interaction I was talking about:
Kanye West had his last Yeezus tour date in America tonight at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, and he ended his nationwide tour with a flourish. Shouting out someone named "Rob," Kanye signed the microphone "from Yeezus." The reason why Rob was receiving this signed souvenir? His choice of tattoo. Rob was shown backstage with a tattoo of the word Yeezus on his chest.
Kanye was also seen signing several pairs of the recently released Red October sneakers, and performed his brand new "Drunk In Love" remix.

Short review from Newsday:
Kanye West's "Yeezus" North American tour wrapped up at Nassau Coliseum Sunday night with a show packed with surprises.
He pulled out some of his older hits, including "Gold Digger" and his smash with Jay Z, "In Paris," which he normally doesn't perform without him.
He revealed that he argued with Oprah Winfrey about his song "New Slaves" and that he's been talking with therapists to be able to discuss his successes in a more socially acceptable way.
West even signed his microphone, writing, "From Yeezus -- Last show," and gave it to a Yeezus tattoo-bearing fan, who got the honor of rapping the final verse of "Bound2" to end the tour.
The tour has been full of ups and downs since launching in October, as his impressive artistic vision for the songs on his Grammy-nominated "Yeezus" album are balanced with his near-nightly rants about everything from the media to the fashion world.
However, at the Nassau show, he was mainly upbeat, even smiling and joking around.
Perhaps the changes during the tour -- including the birth of his daughter, North, and his engagement to Kim Kardashian -- have mellowed him.
The "Yeezus" songs are still as stark and hard-hitting as ever, especially on the opening "On Sight" and then "New Slaves," both performed so loudly that the bass actually rattles your chest.
But once Yeezus is blessed by White Jesus and is finally able to reveal his face and shift into party mode, the show was thrilling.
"This is why we do this," West said, enjoying the moment.

I don't know if this has been posted yet because I'm not going through 54 pages, but this is why he is a legend and why his attitude is irrelevant to the quality of his music. He puts in more effort to his music than any other mainstream rapper out there. He's a prick, but I honestly don't are when the shows are like this. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/IThcw1Q3_rI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> I really hope this embed works.

Tonight during the last show of the “Yeezus Tour”, Kanye West performed his verse from the “Drunk In Love” Remix. Ye also stopped the show to autograph a pair of Yeezys he spotted a few fans holding in the air during his performance. At the end Kanye signed a microphone for a fan who had “Yeezus” tattooed on his chest. Read the full story below.
Tonight Kanye ended his US leg of the “Yeezus Tour” in New York at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The show included a packed house of not only Yeezy fans, but his second family as well. Spotted on hand were fiance Kim, Kris Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, Scott Disick, Jonathan Cheban, Kendall & other friends of the family. The last night had a few special surprises for the NY crowd. Kanye performed “Drunk In Love” live for the first time. During the performance the first row of the pit took off their Air Yeezys and held them in the sky as Kanye performed “Diamonds Are Forever”. Kanye stopped the show and let the fans pass their shoes up on stage for him to sign.
Jonathan Rodriguez was one of the lucky fans holding his Yeezys high in the sky for Kanye to see. Ye told him no at first he explained via his twitter feed. Later on he explained his luck changed and he become the owner of the second pair that Kanye has ever signed. “I’ve never been this happy” Jonathan expressed on social media. He even let a fan beside him have the right foot of the sneaker that wasn’t autographed.
Ye then gave a shout-out to Scott Disick before starting “Niggas In Paris”. Before winding down the concert for the grand finale. Kanye spotted two ecstatic fans (Daniela & Kayla ) in the GA wearing “All hail Kanye” shirts while holding up home-made signs that read “We Love Kimye”. Kanye pointed to the two lucky girls then asked the crowd, “Now don’t you think these girls deserve to be noticed”. The crowd cheered as Daniela “almost passed out,” she said. To make it even better security then approached the pair and stated “come back stage but you gotta stay calm”. Once backstage the girls were greeted by Scott & a huge hug from Kim. While Scott was rather shy. Kim wasted no time thanking the girls and telling them how much she loved them. Security made them leave before Yeezus made it back stage. The girls were even lucky enough to get a picture with Kim to capture the moment.
Lastly Kanye signed the microphone he used the whole show for a fan, he autographed it “To Rob from Yeezus”. Rob is a fan who also got the chance to meet Kanye back stage after the show who has a tattoo of “Yeezus” on his chest. He told us how it all unfolded, read what he had to say to TeamKanyeDaily below Next up Kanye is taking the Yeezus Tour to Australia
Basically, the story behind me getting the tattoo is pretty simple. I’m a big Kanye fan, probably one of the biggest haha and I make music myself, so hes a huge inspiration in that regard. Also, I just think hes a 100% real dude and like a genius. So I was going to get my first tattoo, and I knew I wanted something to do with kanye, but I also wanted something different. Something original. I had seen people with the dropout bear so I wasnt going to do that. So I went with this and well I have it. My dad hates it and ive gotten a lot of shit for it but its all worth it, besides meeting kanye and all of that. Now, what happened at the concert. I was supposed to have nosebleed seats, the cheapest ones, but I got in early so I was able to go to the bottom level next to GA. So when the show started and the lights went out I jumped over and went into GA. I think that was like halfway through “On Sight” and then I spent half the show making my way through the crowd. I lost my jacket and my bandana doing that. When I got near the front, I was just yelling loud as I could and jumped high as i can ( thank yeezus im tall ) and had my shirt off so he could see the tattoo. Security eventually made me put the shirt back on which sucked, but I just pulled my shirt down the whole time instead. Kanye actually saw the tattoo probably like 30 min before he announced it to everyone and signed the mic and all that shit. I was amazed when he did that. Almost cried, no lie. I only found out I would be using the mic for the end off “bound 2? right as the song came on. That as ill. But then security told me to meet them at a certain place to meet kanye backstage and then yeah. Went backstage, some dude whos a designer took a pic of me, met kanye and mike dean. Kanye was so chill, mad out of breath though. Talked to him for a min told him he inspires my music and shit, and then mike dean gave me his email so like im going to show my stuff and see what happens from there. Best night of my life. Werd. Ahah @comicalrob
